Re: Jerusalem Timeline

why was 'Dome of the Rock' built on or near former Temple site, when Muslim Caliph is reportedly avoid to offer prayers in church by saying that Muslims might built a mosque where I pray?

Re: Jerusalem Timeline

Jews seem to be evicted from Israel for almost 2000 years.

should be 1871.

Re: Jerusalem Timeline

Actually 1917.

Re: Jerusalem Timeline

Ironically, to build the Dome of the Rock, the Umayyads demolished the Church of St Cyril and St John that the Byzantines had built over the Temple ruins.

Re: Jerusalem Timeline

Strange that lesson of tolerance was forgotten so early. What could be expected from people who killed children of their prophet.

Re: Jerusalem Timeline

The most startling thing, person of India can find, that even old city, part of a big metropolis can be clean :D, because in India not a single old city locality are generally clean. Jerusalem is highly religious place, with all three Abrahamic religions intersecting each other. For the first time I saw jews in my life. Muslims and christians are so comman in India that they look normal :D. The other thing is that Israel in many ways was like India then, especially untrustworthy Israeli railway system then. We have improved a lot in railways since then, but I don't know if Israel has, though its size doesn't require much of Railway anyway.

Re: Jerusalem Timeline

That they show on TVs about fight, bomb-blast, civilian conflict (fights) etc., if it is true of false?

Re: Jerusalem Timeline

lols. Yesterday, a client from Lahore asking the same for Karachi

Re: Jerusalem Timeline

Try going to Port Louis, the capital of Mauritius. It is a city mostly populated by desis and run by desis, and it is completely clean and tidy.

Going to Port Louis made me realise that the filthy state of cities in India and Pakistan is nothing at all other than the conscious choice of the people who live there to live filthily and to constantly elect politicians who do nothing about it.

Re: Jerusalem Timeline

It not that easy to blast a bomb in Israel, though city is highly divided between Muslim and Jew camps, both sides are just the same, One was victim and another is victim, both playing their victim card internationally. For Hindus/Sikhs, the city has nothing to offer except a little historic view of which we have no knowledge and of which we need no knowledge unless it fulfills our political existence with the state of Israel.

It is choice of people and people alone. Politicians are part of society and represent the society they are part of.
