Jerry West does the same thing again, 10 years later

1996: Vlade Divac for Kobe Bryant
2006: Shane Battier for Rudy Gay

Re: Jerry West does the same thing again, 10 years later

:k: smart move… he made the team even younger.

Re: Jerry West does the same thing again, 10 years later

Who is this guy Andrea Bargnani? Does he even deserve to be the first pick?

Re: Jerry West does the same thing again, 10 years later

Andrea Bargnani is sick. I love Bryan Colangelo for drafting him. Players like him are the centres of the future, not big bulky tub o' lards like Shaq and others. He is athletic and an amazing shooter. Toronto is definitely going to become Phoenix East. Can't wait till next season.

Re: Jerry West does the same thing again, 10 years later

I havent seen Bargnani play but according to the NBA scouts he is damn good and a pretty good perimeter player for almost 7 footer. They are drawing comparisons between him and Dirk Nowitzki.

Lakers picked up UCLA standout guard Jordan Farmar. I cant wait to see him play in the Lakers system, though he prolly wont get much playing time this year. He is known for his excellent basketball IQ and court vision.

wut do you guys think about pick by dallas Maurice Ager and it was a smart move by Jery West Shane Battier is a OK player Rudy Gay could be Pretty good in this league Give him 3 years tops??? but seems like Portland,Chicago, Memphis had a good draft.

Nice pick by Dallas but I think Cuban might trade Stackhouse by the All-Star break.

Great  it’s not only me after all who thinks Shaq is overrated.

But I think I’m Kool you would rather not want Raptors to be Suns. Andrea brings defensive presence under the rim. I was looking through the Raptors roster - and you guys have fine damn chance to improve next season with Andrea, Bosh. and Joey. Celtics and Nets did pretty good on their draft day too.

Kobe and Jordan on the same team?

Re: Jerry West does the same thing again, 10 years later

If Jordan Farmar becomes only half as good as MJ and if Andrew Bynum becomes half as good as his mentor and trainer Kareem Abdul Jabbar (Laker legend and also ex-UCLA player), the Lakers will hoist more championship banners at Staples in coming years.
