Minar-e-Pakistan.
**
Wishing everyone a wonderful Pakistan Day on 23 March 2008.**
Today 68 years after the ideology of Pakistan was announced by Quaid-e-Azam at Lahore, we enter a new era of political existence and pray for all of Allah’s Blessings to be showered upon our great country.
We must invest in hope for a better future, we must have confidence in our nation, we must keep the flame of patriotism stronger than ever in order to achieve the goals and dreams set by our founding fathers; the great heights envisioned by Allama Iqbal that are worthy of great nations.
Tough times are but a test of mettle, and history is full of tales of exemplary nations and their will to rise, with pride, patriotism, unity, faith and discipline, to be counted among the world’s greatest nations.
Our Pakistan is our world, without it we’re nobody. If Pakistan is strong we’re strong, if it’s ridiculed, we’re ridiculed. Let’s vow to preserve Pakistan and its dignity always and forever in any, each and every way possible.
** This 23 March we are lucky to be able to present a few words of wisdom, inspiration and reflection from a personality who is a Pakistani to the core and is the very essence of Pakistani patriotism. A man who witnessed the creation of Pakistan. Migrated after partition in 1947. Built a life of respect and honour by sheer hard work and established his name among Pakistan’s greatest poets, writers and intellectuals. By education he’s an economist, also acquired a degree in law, served as a banker for many years, has been a celebrated poet, was elected to the Senate in 1997 and is the recipient of many prestigious awards including the Pride of Performance and Hilal-i-Imtiaz.**
** For the first time on Paklinks and exclusively for Pakistan Affairs Forums** **marking 23 March celebrations, in collaboration with and most valued support from our valuable member arjay i.e. our dear Raju Uncle, the gifted son of a gifted father.
Proudly being presented, a conversation by the man who is credited with coining the most popular unofficial anthem held most dear to all Pakistanis, **
