More heartburn… It seems Zardari is on a collision course, while Musharraf sits back like a lame duck. What happened to Rashid Qureshi.

Re: Jeay Bhutto slogans in President House soon - Zardari
I have doubts about AAZ posing himself as Presidency candidate. I would prefer Makhdoom Amin Fahim as the President. He's very balanced, cool-minded and is more acceptable to all. IMHO.
Re: Jeay Bhutto slogans in President House soon - Zardari
^I hope not. Pakistan Zindabad is the only slogan that should sound out of PM House and President House along with the rest of the nation. It's the unity that makes Pakistan a stronger nation, not divisive chants that further instill the hatred.

To be honest, we can't have that ever as long as Jageerdari remains in Punjab and to a lesser extent in Sindh. We should have ended it upon creation, and hence we wouldn't have had bhutto and sharif families in politics.
A united pakistan at this point will only come from a disintigration of the provinces into smaller states, that can concentrate and take care of their own people. Especially the disintigration of Punjab and lower Sindh. Less ethnic pride would lead to more productivity.

More Anti Musharraf statements by Zardari :hehe:
Jail our fate if Musharraf not ousted
NAUDERO/GARHI KHUDA BUX - The 55th birth anniversary of late Benazir Bhutto was observed with simplicity at her ancestral village Garhi Khuda Bux on Saturday.
On the occasion, PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari donated blood at the PPP camp set up here following blood donations call made by the party leadership to mark the birth anniversary.
The PPP-Co-Chairman late midnight went to Garhi Khuda Bux, laid floral wreath on the grave of Benazir Bhutto, offered fateha and recited Quran there for the departed soul.
Talking to journalists, Zardari said the resolution passed with consensus by the National Assembly for investigation into Benazir’s assassination had been sent to the UNO.
The PPP Co-Chairman said assassinated Benazir still remains among us while PPP’s opponents though alive seem to be dead. Its good to hear our rivals calling her martyr, he added. Referring to the recent rounds of talks with PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif, he said PPP enjoys friendly ties with PML-N. “We have consensus on the judges issues and the nation will hear good news soon,” he said.
He said this is the first ever resolution that has sought absolute consensus in National Assembly. Zardari said that coalition partners are working out a strategy to oust the President. He said if President Musharraf was not removed both PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif and he would be in Landhi Jail. Mr Zardari said, "still we are fighting against undemocratic elements and the day is not far off when like Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, “our worker will be the President of Pakistan raising slogan of Jiay Bhutto.”
He further said that the Prime Minister has named Islamabad Airport and Murree Road after Benazir so we are donating our blood for remembrance of Shaheed Benazir. He also directed workers to donate their blood to cancer Hospital of Imran Khan.
Zardari said that we have intended to make Larkana an exemplary district as a reminder land of martyrs for the coming generation. He said the best way to pay homage to the great leader would be to follow her mission in letter and spirit and uplift of Pakistan. Zardari said some hidden forces and conspiring elements were engaged in machinations for the downfall of present coalition government.
Zardari said that coalition partners are working out a strategy to oust the President.
“If we do not succeed, Landhi Jail would be the destination for two coalition parties”, he said and added that he and Nawaz Sharif held talks in Lahore for two days in an endeavour to sort out the issues through reconciliation. He pointed out that differences do occur in a house between two brothers and families and we both coalition partners too have differences but these would be resolved soon and bring a consensus President after the slot goes vacant.
Knowing that MQM in Sindh is in coalition government with PPP, uttering such remarks by MQM person like you shows how you guys are racist and hate any one who is not MQM. PPP and Jeay Sindh are two different parties with different ideologies.
