Jeans

I think skinny jeans look great on curvy figures as well. I was very hesitant in teh beginning as well, but I LOVE them now.

Mehnaz, if u get ur size, im sure htey will fit...they're just a very tight fit but become comfortable after a few wears. :D

This is a good discussion on skinny jeans too :stuck_out_tongue:

Too Fat for Skinny Jeans?

Re: Jeans

i love skinny jeans, but have really hard time finding the perfect ones for me. They are often too loose at the stomach/thigh area and also that they keep 'scrunching' up at the knee area...

i don’t like the way any of these look

Re: Jeans

^ I agree.

Sara, the skinny jeans look utterly ridiculous on me. I tried the ultra straight leg as well, which looks just as stupid (on me). I love the boot cut. Slim and very fitted through the thigh to the knee with a very slight flare from the knee downwards.

Re: Jeans

I was scared of skinny jeans… because I am way too skinny myself. So I just thought they would emphasize my skinnypan and make me look like a twig. But my fiance convinced me to give them a try and they look really nice on me! I especially luv their look with heels! But only if they are not skin skin skin tight all the way to the ankle.

These are the ones I got (and the only pair I own): Guess: Women: Denim: Skinny: Premium Daredevil Skinny - Princeton Crinkle Wash

Majority of my jeans are bootcut or Wide Leg tho. And by wide leg - I mean jeans like these:

Just because they are wide leg doesn’t mean they are baggy … they are very fitted in the hip and thigh area but are not as tight around the knee and the leg opening is an inch or two bigger than a bootcut. I find them to be more like trousers and just classier looking… especially if wearing a shirt that ends at the waist. I always go for dark one tone washes with these kind of jeans… it just adds to the classier look.

Citizen of humanity is my all time favorite jean brand… super expensive but you can’t beat the quality of their denim and their cut. The most flattering brand I have ever found. And their jeans last FOREVER. I consider them “investments” lol. I probably wear them the most (since they fit me best) but they look the newest. My favorite pair I’v had for 6 yrs now.. and they still look brand new!

Sevens jeans are great too.. just not as great as Citizen of Humanity.

Re: Jeans

i usually never try on jeans before i buy em, luckily they all happen to fit:hula:

Have u tried a smaller size?

Lol..i did hate htem in the beginning but I grew to love em. :frowning:

Boot cuts are definitely a classic and traditional piece.

I think the appeal behind most pairs fo skinny jeans is that they emphasize your figure…so if you’re skinny it will create curves, and if you’re already curvy, it will look nice.

I gotta check out the Seven jeans/citizen of humanity brand.

Lucky u :barbie:

My fav brand of jeans is ksubi - these are GREAT for girls who are especially petite as the fit only comes in skinny leg. While they are on the pricey side I think investing in a few good pairs of jeans is absolutely essential for a killer wardrobe.

If jeans are slightly long get them taken up from the bottom- I think jeans scrunching down the bottom (especially skinny leg) look simply awful. I take mine to the tailor before wearing them and he does a great job.

And as for girls who are a bit curvier- don't be afraid to try skinny leg jeans but try pairing them wth a looser/longer top.
