One brand i'd steer away from is NEXT branded jeans - cos i bought quite a few from there and found that within a few months they began to lose their elasticity/fitting and became loose, especially on waist - not good if you're maintaining or trying to lose weight!
ohhhh oops. i forgot J brand is usually making straight leg ones....well for the flare/bootcut legs i agree with the seven brands as pink said. also i have a pair of "paper denim and cloth" jeans that fit real nice. but blue cult i have heard is the best if u need to give curves to your behind.....just from what ive heard.
I just checked out Blue cult and I love them!
I am going to saks after work hopefully to try them on.
The only thing I am worried about is that they are low cut again. But I love the rest of the cut.
Muniya, is there a reason you dont like the low rises? I used to not like them either until i tried one. I am now hooked and wont wear the other kind anymore.
you should wear a straight leg rather than the flare--the flare emphassis the hip and thigh area i believe--> with a straight leg you'll be able to have a long lean look which elongates your legs and its sophisticated :)
i agree...if you're quite "heavy" on the thighs..a flare will make you look like a 70's disco diva!! a wide leg is what you want to go for.
i think a straight cut is the best all round...seven for all mankind, tsubi, true religion and calvin klein are all great brands that i have amounted in my years of scouting, but if your budget doesn't stretch to such...Levi's and the great GAP...i live in their long and lean and skinnys!
and also go for heavy denim...if you buy the thin stuff, it'll cling to you, and only get ruined in the wash!!
i alsohave a couple of pairs of "boyfriend" jeans...you guys heard of these, they're like loose slouchy jeans..what are your opinions?
oh and btw i'm new to the forum...so hi all!!:D
Gap used to be the only place I could find jeans that were cut right for my shape and small frame. But now I think they've changed their cuts. It takes more work to find the right ones.
I've recently fallen in love with Ann Taylor and Ann Taylor LOFT. Their Petites sections have some great cuts and I love how I look in them. I recently got their bootcut (only slight flare) dark jean. They also have a "curvy" cut but they don't fit me quite right.
Seven for all Mankind are the BEST!! The pair I have are a little higher in the back so your crack doesn't show when you bend down. They are totally worth the money. Citizens tend to be too low rise for me.
the brand Seven for all humanity is found in saks 5th??...And for the low rise...I wear camisoles all the time...sure saves the bending embarrassment..I love the fact that the camisoles r so much longer now!!!...
And Miss Mandrake...Welcome!!!:) Hope u have a pleasant stay here

I'm sure they have them at Saks. I got mine from Bloomies. I also love the new long styles! I bet that came into fashion because of all the low rise jeans.
So any luck Muniya!!..U have to keep us posted...I went to ANN Taylor Loft...they have the new wide leg jeans out....I didnt have the time to try them...will later...Finally the skinny leg r going!! whew!!!:)....
Hey Sara...I think uu should try the Straight leg probably from Ann Taylor or Loft....(loft has better jeans/casuals)...anyway....They enlongate the leg ...and pointy shoes r always a must with them:)
I'm kinda sick of Gap, their stuff stretches out wayyyyyyy too soon.
Express doesn't fit me, even their largest size, is too tight on me:(
any other (affordable) brands? dun thinK I can (or wanna) spend more htan $75 on a single pair. I usually stick to lower rise, darker color, with a flare/boot cut leg.
