I don’t that often, but actually recently I did! And it was exactly as you described, in that it wasn’t a rivalry thing at all, the consequence of their event wouldn’t be right for me anyhow, but it felt weird. I actually felt terrible for feeling that way so unnecessarily when I was genuinely happy for them.
