Ok the much awaited result of Judicial council is there which is a big win for pmln and humiliation for Pti. This does put a lot of pmln now as they’ll need to perform, they now don’t have the excuse that they were being distracted by Pti. Still three years to go.
as far as Pti is concerned they should give pmln a tough time within and outside the assemblies, raise issues of public importance so as to help in improving the governance.

Assuming that PTI wins in KPK, how many seats would they need in punjab for a pathway to federal govt?
PTI is not PPP yet, as they took a pathway using sindh and southern punjab and then the stragglers to form a coalition govt in 2008. PTI has said that it doesn't want coalition (not with 'n', PPP or MQM) which pretty much leaves fazlu or JI (their current partner). I sure hope that PTI does give tough time to PPP in sindh but I doubt that it would ever happen.

They will need a fair few seats in Punjab for a victory, which is very much possible as in spite of its blunders during the last year people have no alternate to pmln.

So here is the equation:
PML(N) is a group of idiots acting together for a common cause that'll ulitmately lead to self-destruction, wutever they do.
BUT... they are given oxygen supply-line by further bigger idiots in PTI which is empowered by some of stupid decisions taken by their leadership. So it looks like this luv-hate relationship will continue till 2018. Unless in due course if one of these two takes an extra step in taking more idiotic actions,they'll be poofed earlier than their counterpart. Thats all folks!!

I agree with you that Pti has been bailing pmln out for the past two years. If they'd just focussed on parliamentary politics and played their role of opposition pmln would have been in trouble. The only thing in their favour is that they are the only alternate to pmln at the moment. Still three years to go, if they play their cards better from now on they still can make a comeback otherwise pmln would get a walk over in the next polls.
