UT i'd never seen it too before. Its just an amazing piece of history. Notice the spring in miandad's foot. Its like he he's running on jetpacks. In the last two deliveries before his six when he's on the non striker's end, he starts running right after the ball leaves the bowler's hands. What message does that give to the striker? Like it or not, you're running buddy cuz i'm already halfway down the pitch! :D

My Dad was reluctant to go for this match, but my mamu insisted & they both had a good time. I still remember Dad returning from Sharjah Xhausted but very joyous & happy. He always taught me to win in any situations.

:-) semi final of world cup 1992, moin khan's inning (hate to admit) and this inning from miandad.. in history, i've seen many situations, but none like these.. i remember seeing the last over.. i remember my uncle whose cricket craze i took later on, that we were sitting in our drawing room, watching this match.. after m.elahi my uncle was damn upset.. and had left to drink water.. ke abb kuch nahi ho sakta..

haha Cheegum, yer not gonna believe this... I slept last night after reading your thread and watching the clip... and I dreamed that I was there :D watching this thing live... it was so real that it was freaky! :) and guess what, my mind added its own lil spice (not that it was needed) but something about the Indian team trying to cry to the umpire and dismissing that shot of Miandad... hehe... to no avail though.

Lol someone mentioned this to me earlier and you can clearly see this in the video... Soon after the match is over Tauseef gets hit by a danda from a security guard :D

This had been in PTV for quite sometimes.. even as far as I remember, Anwer Maqsood in one of his shows did mention it during an interview with Miandaad while showing this clip.

btw. Pakistanimedia could use smaller tags and banners. As if one was'nt enough, a second banner popped up of equal size...rite in the middle of the screen, on the last delivery. Quite irritating i should say....

yeaa...true. No i was just getting a mssg across. Dont mind banners and tags, everyone's gotta protect their itellectual property, but they should decrease the size ..and have it somewhere in the side. Most of Pakistani media clips have huge banners and tags......we thought ptv was bad :D

makes me proud. I cant stop watching this clip. Its one of those magic moments in history when everything changes. Before this match Pakistan's cricket team was going down hill. They didnt have the form to face Indian team. This was the push pakistan needed to get over the indian phobia. After than we won sharjah 5 years in a row :-D
