Not everyone joining PTI is corrupt and you know it. SMQ (while I can understand some PPP supporters not liking him because of his recent defection) is a well-educated (Aitchison and Cambridge-educated) and capable man. Javed Hashmi also comes across as a decent man

Javed Hashmi has done a lot for democracy. He was the sole fighter for PML-N when its leadership ran away. He is a true democrat and he is respectable whichever party he is in. (yes I will say the same even if he does not join PTI)
According to Khawaja saad rafiq's facebook page he is not leaving pmln, but he does mention that he tried to stop javed hashmi but in vain. This would be a boost to imran's chances in south Punjab, but on the other hand a big blow to pmln there.
A guy of javed hashmi's stature was leaving and nawaz sharif sent his wife to try to bring him back? Anyways these guys have made life miserable for themselves due to their wrong decisions.
You know as well as anyone SMQ would not have joined if he was still FM.
You know as well as anyone when he was FM, he was full of praise and support for Zardari.
But then he resigned from his position because he didn't support the stance of Zardari in Raymond Davis (the murderer) case. God help others in the Govt. resign for once based on their moral standing, if they have any.
Well, the latest is that he has left for Karachi to meet Imran Khan, and on the way to the airport, he told reporters that he has joined PTI. Great addition to PTI. And word is, a lot of PML-N members are following him. Lets see what other names come out in the coming day or so.
Now as per the news reports, JH have confirmed that he has joined PTI, i must say this is the only joining in recent times that PTI can be proud of and save the credibility of PTI. JH's leaving PML-N should be wake-up call to the leadership of PML-N, where they have to assess what went wrong and fix it.
It also reminds me one of the column Javed Ch. wrote after SMQ joined PTI, in that list, he mentioned names of Javed Hashim, Aitzaz Ahsan, Khawaj Saad Rafique, Raza Rabani (if i recall it right) and few others who will join PTI and will form govt. Now one of them have joined and Aitzaz Ahsan have shown the signs of joining ( which will be another good joining) have to wait and see.
Rana sana is saying that establishment has hijacked hashmi. It's big mouths like rana sana and ch nisar which created problems for the sharifs in their previous stints and in this one. Pmln should wait for more such disasters, which are due to the arrogant behaviors of sharifs and mismanagement done by punjab govt. The way they have tried to transfer the party to hamza shahbaz has also played a role in disorientating the hardworking and honest workers. The days of blaming the establishment for everything are long gone, peoples party and pmln should do some inward soul searching and see what went wrong if they want to avoid disastrous consequences.
I knew this happening for a few days now.. just didn't want to challenge your confidence. Facebook pages of these leaders are managed by some low level party activist sitting in their respective media cells.
Javed Hashmi has stopped doing personal politics for a long time now. He was convinced that all his selfless political struggle will just benefit a family political fiefdom where merit has no space. In fact PML N was running much more democratically when Mians were out in exile. As soon as they came back, family arrogance, chamchageri, dictatorial mind set were prevailing in the party. JH was not happy with the how the party was being run. He is a man of principles and wants to direct all his political efforts to do something positive in the country instead of strengthening ancestral power fiefdom for Sharif family...
I can tell you.. if you meet JH in person.. he has lost all personal ambitions.. and wants to pursue his political effort for the country. Mark my words today.. next target for Imran will Aitizaz Ahsan and all those whom you have mentioned in your above post. A lot of our 2nd tier political figures are really fed up from their leaderships. Now in shape of Imran they are getting an option to do a cleaner politics.
As far as PTI is concerned... Imran has changed a lot. His party is now being run through collective wisdom. With people like SMQ, Jhangir Tareen, and now Javed Hashmi... this collective wisdom process is bound to increase. Imran is slowly distancing himself from those cultish hawks who were trying to raise him to a level of some super human.. it's good to see Imran realizing his personal flaw and now finally trying to institutionalize his party in true sense. You can already notice that recent decision making in the party is much more matured than Imran taking personal positions to points of no return like a school boy..
Imran in recent years has matured a lot. He has been actually on the ground with real people in the modest environment. He has seen real jail unlike Zardari's 7 star jail in the hospital where he was free to move around. He has slept on road side charpais during Sindh floods and other occasions while other high level leaders today have no connection with the people on ground. He has changed himself to value collective decision making and avoid being played in the hands of hawkish cult followers. All these things have helped a person like JH to decide in favor of joining hand with Imran for a meaningful/positive change in Pakistan.

there is no question on the credibility of Javed Hashmi, no matter which party he goes in even in these age he can boil the blood, i always liked him, respected him... If he have decided to change the party then he must have some good reasons for that and i and many in Pakistan will be respecting those decisions.
In short i would say, Javed Hashmi's leaving PML-N and Joining PTI is blessing for both, i.e. It will shake the PML-N leadership and they might take some right decision in the orgnization and policy making...
On the other hand, as i said above, JH may brings back the lost credibility of PTI

Rana, Chaudary Nisar, Captain Safdar, Mariam Nawaz are the new mouth pieces who matter in PML N now. People like Saad Rafiq, Khawaja Asif, Sardar Ayaz don't matter any more in the party. While Javed Hashmi was sent to side lines like an extra player, Hamza Shahbaz is treated like Prince of Wales wherever he goes ..
While Nawaz Sharif has a coterie of full time chamchas around him in Raiwind Palace.. Shahbaz Sharif, a self proclaimed massiah, is always on a destructive mission sacking government employees while managing 12 ministries in Punjab. It's impossible to tell him on his face that he could be wrong also. It's usual for him to be late for 5/6 hours after giving time.. and insulting people. He is more or less inaccessible.. and his recent role in trying to defend Khosa's son is simply disgusting..
Agreed the immediate Sharif first family does not behave as cheaply as Gilani first family.. nonetheless no one can challenge their ultimate wisdom..

Hamid Khan and Aitzaz Ahsan had resolved their issues but yes there is some bitterness from old days, anyhow, Hamid Khan is on the back benches now a days which itself says that there is an opening for Aitzaz Ahsan in PTI

It's a dream team in making. A lot will depend on Khan now how he leads the team.
I just can't wait to see media going berserk with this dream team. Whoever is thinking that all this will not translate in to actual electoral success should rethink.
All what is needed is to cleanse the electoral lists from fake/bogus votes through which people's mandate is always stolen in our country.. the executive/government is going to resist that happening in a big way. We will see a big PMLN/PPP partnership to resist this happening now.. mark my words..
Either pop and pmln will have to join hands again (which will be another setback to pmln now after their acrobatics against ppp for the past one year) or they will have to change their mentalities which also seems impossible at this stage.
