Javed Hashmi is probably one of the most respected politicians in Pakistan. If he joins PTI it will be a very good news for PTI.. I wonder who is going to call him a lota now.
ISLAMABAD - The PML-N leader Makhdoom Javed Hashmi is all set to join Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Reliable sources informed Online that all formalities have been duly fulfilled for a formal announcement within next few days. Makhdoom Javed Hashmi has been reported to be quite agitated over being constantly ignored/bypassed/sidetracked, and is known to have publicly criticided PML-N’s leadership in meetings.
Seeking no peace of mind, he has finally decided to resign from PML-N and join PTI. Sources have informed that he was constantly in touch with Imran Khan over the issue and Imran Khan eventually acquiesced to his (Makhdoom Javed) request.
Sixty-three years old leader of the PML-N Javed Hashmi is a key opposition leader in Pakistan, and one of the prominent leaders of the Alliance for Restoration of Democracy (ARD) which campaigned against the Musharraf regime.
He started his career in politics during his university days from the platform of Islami Jamiat Tulaba (IJT), the student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami. In the capacity of his practical politics, he has also served in Zia-ul-Haq‘s cabinet.
On April 12 2004, he was sentenced to 23 years in prison for inciting mutiny in the army, forgery and defamation, by circulating a letter written by military officers calling for an investigation into alleged corruption in the armed forces and criticising President Pervez Musharraf and his relationship with US President George W Bush.
Hearing about Javeed Hashmi's and AQ Khan's joining for about two years now, Haroon Rasheed and PTI members have insulted and thrashed AQ Khan for not joining PTI, let us see what happens with Hashmi's case.
Multan's Political ego didn't allow SMQ to come in PML-N and i believe the same will stop Javed Hashmi to Join the ranks of PTI and work under SMQ... unless, Javed Hashmi is going to get higher designation, higher than SMQ...

Referring to this article. Now THIS will be a blow of HUGE proportions for PMLN and PPP. He is a respected politician whichever party he is in.
I don't know what are you talking about. How joining of JH will affect PPP? Infact PPP can be in great advantage if major PML(N) actors join PTI. As I aready said he is soul and heart of PML(N). His departure will definitely hurt PML(N).
This news is in almost all Pakistani news websites today, it is a fact that the Sharif’s have been side lining for a while. I personally think that it would have been better for PMLN if Javed Hashmi was made opposition leader in the NA instead of Ch Nisar. But the Sharif’s were scared of the person’s personality therefore they preferred Nisar over Hashmi.

**According to Dunya News, few days earlier, Senior Vice President Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) and MNA from Multan Makhdoom Javed Hashmi held an important meeting with Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan in which matters regarding his joining of PTI were discussed sources said that formal announcement is expect in coming days.

It is worth mentioning that Javed Hashmi has been continuously criticizing policies of Shrif brothers since their return back in country and he expressed his discontentment openly so many times.

Now, it is true that Hashmi had problems with the leadership of PML-N but that is normal in any political party, just like ShreeN mazari have serious differences with What IK said to Indian media about Kashmir or India policy.
Javed Hashmi in the days, when he was sidelined and when it was most suitable for him, he didn't joined PTI, what will make him join them today where he have to work under Shah Mehmood Qureshi??? care to answer that, anyone having knowledge of Multan politics would know what i am pointing out here!
All these news which has been reported so far, none of them have quoted either IK or Javed Hashmi, it is all said that, it is like i can say, it is said that, Justice Wajeehuddin, Hamid Khan, Shreen Mazari are all set to join PML-N and the reason is their serious differences over the U-Turns Imran Khan has taken on policy matters.Further more, since all the corrupt and known turn-coats are joining PTI these days, and these leaders have been neglected by the top leadership (e.g. Earlier IK said Hamid Khan or Wajihuddin would head the scrutiny committee but later it was SMQ who was made head of the same) on almost all the occasions.
Unless and until this happens or comes out of the mouth of Javed Hashmi, it is all rumors...
