Re: Javed Hashmi hospitalized over brain hemorrhage
Indeed. I like the way he thinks. He believes we, the people are supreme, and our armed forces work for us and answer to us civlians, not the other way around. He wasnt afraid, and when the retard Musharraf couldnt find anything against this guy in terms of corruption or embezzlement, he sent him to jail for so many years on some bogus treason charges (that were never proven, and he was set free) however he had to endure all those years in jail. I think he should be heading the PML[N].

indeed but look what he got from NS? just because Hashmi think (and he spoke his mind out) that there should be democracy in Party and party head should be elected, he was sidelined by NS. He was sidelined because Sharif brothers were considering him a threat within party. A thinking head and speaking mouth is never appreciated by NS
Re: Javed Hashmi hospitalized over brain hemorrhage
^ Well, he was made the senior vice president of the party... Also, what are your thoughts on the charges levied upon him by your favorite dictator? Did you read Hashmi's book by any chance?

lol @ senior vice president ..read VP as OSD
and I totally disapprove with what Army did with Hashmi and I totally disapprove what NS is doing with Hashmi. Army tu phir "pariee" thee, musharraf tu phir dictator tha (as per your definition), see what "democratic" NS did with him. He is sidelined just because he spoke about elections in Party and he spoke against brother's, uncle's politics

i) Army didnt do anything to him, it was that swine musharraf.
ii) Though I dont think Hashmi was sidelined in any way, he is a powerhouse and will always will be for the PML[N]; sidelining a party worker in a power struggle and throwing someone in prison for bogus charges for a decade, torturing them and humiliating them are TWO VERY different things. I just find it funny how you never mentioned the abuses and prison sentence he had to serve on the hands of Musharraf but immediately jumped to NS 'sidelining' him.
Hashmi is not the sort of person who'd stick with NS if he felt sidelined. He openly bashes Musharraf and even refused to take oath from him because of his principles. He isnt afraid of a decade long prison sentence. He would leave the party if he felt any injustice.
Re: Javed Hashmi hospitalized over brain hemorrhage
^ Its even funnier that you are refusing to accept that he has been sidelined by NS because he spoke out for party-democracy and against bhai-bhai party culture. He was left out of almost all important delegations of PML(N) doing important business/discussions/negotiations
anyways, I hope he recovers and start representing people of his constituency at his full capability.

Not really, considering I would look to him as heading the PML[N] over Sharif, you on the other hand are a Musharraf/MQM supporter. Where were you when Hashmi was rotting in jail huh?
Also, can you provide proofs where Hashmi said he was being sidelined or ignored? He was selected as the acting leader of the PML[N] in 2000 if I recall, which is why he ended up in jail to begin with. Please dont quote from PPP sites, anything from his own mouth where he feels like he's being sidelined would do.
I am gonna have to disagree with you Spock, Hashmi has very much been sidelined by NS. The VP post is a case of being kicked upstairs without any real power, he wasn't given the post of leader of opposition nor PAC chair ..that was given to Chaudhry Nisar..for that matter what happened to Tehmina Daultana?
Re: Javed Hashmi hospitalized over brain hemorrhage
Even tough I do not agree with PML (N) or any of their members but Javed Hashmi is an asset to Pakistan politics. His wisdom point of view and straight forward approach is what needed in Pakistani politics.
Maybe you are right, he has been sidelined, or otherwise JH would never have garnered support from MQM members, as evident by couple of posters here I mean the man spent so many years in jail on fake bogus charges which didnt convince them and now being sidelined by NS he gets all the praise from em! rich.
