Javed Ahmed Ghamdi

Re: Javed Ahmed Ghamdi

He has said it many many times in his lectures. You need to listen to his lectures more often. His thoughts have evolved alot, and I am also a witness of this thing, that at one time he thought this perspective is correct, but when he saw someother evidence, he adopted another opinion. And if you aware with our four Imam, and if you read their books which were written in their early career and books which were written in their later career, they have a lot of differences. And this shows that a person is ready to understand any thing which is coming his way. But because Ghamidi is a human, it doesn’t suit me to put a case on the honesty of someone. As only God knows about everyone’s heart.

How can I prove Imam Shafi’is personal opinion from Qur’an o hadith

These are nothing but your own personal thoughts.

If Ghamidi would say such a thing, he will be Sheetan and when you will say something, that is perfect truth :bummer: Your argument of prohibition of writing hadith at one time is correct but it is irrelevant to prophet Muhammad’s saying in which he declared himself fallible in worldly affairs. There are many stories I can quote. For example, once there were some people who were pollinating date trees and prophet asked them not to do it, and when they didn’t do it, next season they got less fruit. When this case was put in front of prophet, prophet told clearly that in religion if I say something, take it but in worldly affairs you know more than me. Similarly, at many many instance people use to ask prophet that if this is his personal thought or as a prophet. And when he use to say that this is my personal thought, people sometime don’t use to follow him. For example, when Muslim army went into the battle of Badr, and prophet stopped at a well, a Sahabi asked the same question and when prophet told that this is his personal choice then Sahabi asked to go for a better place. You are accusing others of scewing hadith literature, please ask someone knowledgeable about these hadith before arguing further.

Again, this is your imagination. Ghamidi respects all Islamic scholars and considers them his teacher. And having a difference in opinion and scholarly criticism is not censure, otherwise you’ll make Imam Shafi’ Sheetan for Imam Abu Hanifa for example, as these Imams do disagree in varying faculties. And I think scholarly criticism is always healthy.
