Nawaz Sharif, Chaudhry Nisar request Hashmi not leave party
By Raja Riaz
LAHORE: In an expected move, the PML-N senior leader Javaid Hashmi has resigned from the party’s CEC membership and offered his party’s leadership to also quit from the National Assembly.
People privy to the top PML-N leadership, however. tell that he quit the party’s basic membership. The resignation was handed over to Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in person after a two days’ marathon session of the party on the prevalent political scenario.
Javaid Hashmi has a long history of struggle during the Musharraf regime and spent several years behind the bars. He is the person who led and motivated the party at a time when the Sharifs were in exile.
The Makhdoom of Multan developed differences with the party’s leadership on several issues, and was totally ignored by the party when Sharifs were at last in a comparatively comfortable position. The last point of difference was his demand from the PML-N and other parties to tender a public apology for supporting martial laws.
His resignation was not accepted till the filing of this report and Nawaz Sharif and Chaudhry Nisar held meetings with him requesting him not to leave the party.
^ Keep in mind he is the same person who Musharraf supporters/MQM terrorists were badmouthing when he was imprisoned for so many years by Busharraf for bogus charges (what was it, being a ghadaar or something lol)... So hes out of the PML now, MQM supporters start hailing him, wait till he joins Imran Khan's PTI he'll become a bad guy for them again! LOL
Javed Hashmi is a pure gentleman.
How can he join .......?
And keep in mind one thing
If he left PML N, He will try to form another Muslim Leauge
Because many there in Q and N who are ready to quit their parties.
when he was imprisoned for so many years by Busharraf for bogus charges (what was it, being a ghadaar or something lol)...
He was writing letters to army to take over from Musharraf because Musharraf's martial law was not his favor. Its like you don't like one martial law and you ask for the next one.
It's a laughing matter as long as it's against Musharraf but this kind of behavior is one source of legitimacy for military dictators.
^ No he didnt, those were cooked up charges made by Musharraf and the mockery of the case was handled inside Adiala Jail, not any court.
Furthermore, if he asked the Army to trash that senile dictator musharraf and restore a civilian government, there is nothing wrong with that. Many believe Musharraf was the bad apple in the otherwise reputable army that needed to be thrown away.
The problem is that unlike many of PML[N] leaders, he did not denounce his party back then, or turned lota like Shujaat and Co. and since they couldnt put him behind bars for corruption or embezzlement for obvious reasons, they came up with the stupid mutiny charge. Javed Hashmi did nothing to deserve such a sentence, and the Independent Judiciary set him free. Even if one is a Musharraf fan, they have to give more leverage to the decision from the Highest ranking court of the country rather than some sold out goon sitting in Adiala Jail.

And why did Musharraf target that one person who was less prominent compared to other politicians inside that assembly?
As I said before it is very easy to call things baseless or cooked up as long as you are talking about people like Musharraf, but this was a "charge" that was admitted by Hashmi himself even before he was arrested and everyone at that time knew what he had done.
Furthermore, if he asked the Army to trash that senile dictator musharraf and restore a civilian government, there is nothing wrong with that. Many believe Musharraf was the bad apple in the otherwise reputable army that needed to be thrown away.
Oh, so it was ok too when all opposition parties were begging to army to trash "senile" Nawaz Sharif? and before that they wrote to army to trash the "senile" Bhutto? and when in future will it be ok for them to write to trash another of those "senile" leaders?
The kind of argument you give only goes on to prove that Pakistani people have always brought martial laws upon themselves.
