jaundice

hope its the right spelling… any cures for it? ive been suffering from it for the past 3 weeks… doc says its gonna get worse before it gets any better… he refuses to give me any pain killers as it would make the liver work extra hard… mom’s already giving me sweet things like misri water etc… but is there something else out there to ease the pain??? any remedies desi or not… any jaundice surivors out there.. what did u take or do?
any help would be appreciated
p.s) never again am i vising desi land during rain season

i had jaundice when i was a baby(yes a trip to pak did it) & well,i duno how they treated me, but even now, my eyes sometimes go slightly yellow(yup me freaky)& my mom gets all worried makes me eat lots & lots of sweet stuff. im hooked on choclates.

i had it for 3 months in karachi. you just have to rest all the time and ride it out. i remember drinking chanoon ka pani, and mooli kay patoon ka pani.. those things were horrible.

i did watch a lot of tv though. i mean, you couldn't do anything else.

awww wish you were here. In our family they always treat it with a desi medicine and it works wonders :)

^ do you mind sharing that "treatment"??? :p

Yeah i got it from Pakistan too. I ended up taking antibiotics for 6 weeks and this was when I was like 8 and had never taken medicine for more then a week.

When dad had it in Pakistan, he was on a glucose I.V. Its horrible I tell ya, but it has to take its course. Just drink LOTS of water and it'll be out of your system : )

sighz… im sooo tired of eating sweet things tho… my tongue is tired… everything tastes the same now…
fanta.. what are those desi remedies?
coco: ya… ive had 3 bottles installed already and doc says if i keep throwin up then the bottles will just keep on beign uploaded
i thought i could teach the tummy a pce of ma mind … so i stand up all tall saying"awright biatch… act up once more and ure gonna be sorry’ .. lo and behold my tummy answered back with a bang makin me crawl back into bed :s… bed… i hate this item aswell… and im soo tired of watchin crappy sattellite tv
never mind me… mom’s right… more time ventin online makes for less time lyin in bed in pain… nice

It goes in the family its a medicine kinda thing :(

Re: jaundice

^the docs right. it will get worse before getting back to normal again. Just bear with it. Hepatitis A???

drink lots of water! I'm not sure about this sweet stuff

Gannay ka rass :yummy:

shikes…it sucks that ur trip to pakistan gave u jaundice :-/

u know there is this DAMM that they do in janudice in pakistan…they bring these jharoos and hit the person sufferring from jaundice with those jharoos…i aint kidding…my aunt had it and thats what my other aunts were doing to her…weird…apparently they do it to everyone who has jaundice…its some special type of jharoo…

weird :konfused:

but i’ve heard drinking lots of water and sugarcane juice is good for jaundice, and dont eat fried or heavy food at all…just rest…

*Had it many many many moons ago while

It lasted about 6 months. Was fed a lot of sugar cane juice, and
by a lot I mean a minimum of 15 glasses per day. Ate only
boiled vegetables and everything else had to be boiled as well.

DAMM maro DAMM.. mit jaaiy ghamm...

Yes it is true. The jharoo is mostly to create a diversion. Like a magician uses a wand. Similarly its something of sticklike features.

K3 hun, watch lots of TV especially the x rated saudi tv serials you always used to complain about. That'll take your mind off the chicken pox for a while!
