My hair are not straight so I am thinking about getting the permanent Japanese hair done. Has anyone gotten them done, if so please share your thoughts on it. Thanks!
My SIL got it done couple of years ago, and it looks nice, but she has lost more than half of her hair(she had nice thick hair), could be because of some other reason, but this was the only major change in her lifestyle, so we all think it is because of the chemical treatment her hair had to go through for JS.
None the less she look very nice, and her hair still curl up with hot iron if need be and it take her couple of minutes to do her hair since her hair is all nice and straight most of the time, BUT my SIL is very slim and very pretty south indian girl, so she can get away with loosing hair but I think if I were to do it, I am slightly on the bigger side and will look funny with thin and zara se baal if I lose hair as a result of JS. I was so tempted to get it done and actually me and my SIL were supposed to go together and get it done, lakin I chicken out.
Re: Japanese permanent straightened hair
My cousin has gotten it done three times. Some lady would come to her apartment and do it. The smell is ATROCIOUS. I always tell her if the smell alone is burning my nose imagine what it is doing to your hair. It's so bad for you but she loves it. She loves that when she takes a shower she really doesn't have to do anything to do to it other than maybe blow dry it for a little while. I think it looks too straight and unnatural. There's no body in her hair and when it grows out (which it does) your roots are all frizzy and the rest of your hair is straight. It looks really funny, not to mention extremely messy looking. I know we're all about straight hair but when something changes the texture of your hair and damages it like JS what's the point? extremely straight/ flat hair is so outdated.
