It is Lord Krishna’s birthday. Lord Krishna’s Bday falls on 8th day ie asthami of Shravan (sawan) therefore it is called Janmasthami. Dance and Bhajans function is held at Krishna temples. At midnight, prayers and panchamrat/prasad are offered to the Lord Krishna then prasad/panchamrat is distributed.

Concept of God is a beautiful concept because it is the only rational explanation for origin of this universe and its existence. Then comes concept of revelation of God which is only way to make proper sense of our existence provided we do our best to make proper sense of revelation of God in light of real world realities. People can turn this world into a paradise by their own efforts and hard works by faithfully following revelation of God as a brotherhood of humanity.
Unfortunately we human beings have invented many versions of religion and secularism to confuse each other and to keep each other away from God and his revelation. The result is some of us have managed to turn this beautiful world into a hell hole for ourselves. This is not how it is going to be for long because as more and more people learn sense of making proper sense of things and help each other do that things will change for the better.
Time for people to think about bringing about a complementary human society that is organised and regulated on that basis instead of the ways of life people have already adopted which lead them to cutting throats of each other instead of living for each other for ensuring well being of each other. The main problem is personality cults whereby people instead of adopting a way of life based upon rule of law of God want to live by rules of laws which their rulers make for them. These rules of law are a problem because they are biased against masses in favour of rulers or ruling elites or money lenders and their stooges in form of religious leaders.
We need to learn to look at rule of law of God and rules of laws of rulers who try to control us through controlling our livelihood as if they are Gods instead of God or along with God. According to revelation of God even God does things according to his own rule of law because if God does not stick with his own rule of law no one else will. All promises of God to human beings become worthless if God decided to break his own laws. Rule of law of God is to be looked upon in context of purpose and plan of God for this world and people in it.
We have invented many things to take our attentions away from what we are supposed to be knowing and doing towards all kinds of nonsense we call entertainments. People rather watch football or play games or sit idle or carry out their religious duties or waste time in various other ways than learn sense and do what is helpful for humanity to develop and grow or progress and prosper. This is why instead of coming together for ensuring well being of each other we are busy undermining each other at every step of the way by trying to dominate each other. This is the way of life we have adopted which is based upon personal gains at the expense of each other instead of adopting the way of life advised by God himself whereby people ought to come together to ensure well being of each other. This is why deen of islam is advised by God through the quran for mankind to live in this world because it is a way of life which can help them towards blissful, dignified and secure existence in this world as a brotherhood of humanity. No other way of life can unite mankind therefore cannot lead them to peace and that is why mankind cannot make progress of that kind therefore they cannot have maximum possible prosperity.
So you reap what you sow and the result of what we think about each other and do to each other is right in front of our own eyes. Yet we dare blame God for all that we do wrong to each other due to our limited ability of choice God has given us. So if people do not like what is going on in this world then they must change their ways of life they have adopted to way of life advised by God. That is the only solution on the table for humanity to turn this world into a living paradise for themselves when they have tried everything else that comes to their minds. I forgot to write Krishna paksha. It falls on 8th of the Krishna paksha of Shravan. In English calendar, it falls in the month of August.
In last video, it is being said that the Lord has various forms at various places. It reminds me an interesting thing. I read that there were many regional deities, Lord Rama and Lord Krishna became popular so they were seen as incarnation/forms of Vishnu. Similarly local female deities were considered as forms of Shakti/Parvati. Do you know any idol/deity which does not look like Lord krishna ie one having flute, wearing yellow clothes, chakra, peacock feather still worshiped as Krishna?
I suppose, by forms they mean in what way devotees see the Lord. I see, most of the devotees either like , makhanchor laddu-Gopal ie kid Krishna or Radha-krishna ie playful romantic Krishna. Shri krishna is said to be a fine artist, eloquent speaker, good teacher, skilled diplomat too but people don't buy complete package. Shri krishna has spoken in detail about Karma yoga, Samkhya yoga, Gyan yoga, Bhakti yoga and many behavioral things in Bhagwat Gita. Detachment and balance of mind is considered his main teachings. In the above videos, we see devotees are full of Bhakti-ras and Shringar-ras. They are dancing in joy, looking like they are out of their senses and appears that they are defying Lord krishna's teachings. Lord Krishna has asked for complete devotion and full surrender to Him. I wonder how can one be a person of balanced mind if she surrenders completely or offers complete devotion.

Per Krishna’s advice in the Geeta to Arjuna, he asked Arjuna to completely surrender to him and have full,faith in him. I guess that is how he defines balanced. So his bhaktas by surrendering to him are obeying him, not defying him. And are classified as balanced by him.
I personally am not a big fan of Krishna. He achieved victory for the Pandavas through deceit. His philiposophy was the end justifies the means. He made the Pandavas violate several,rules of Kshatriya Dharma - the bringing down of Bhishma the great grandsire, Drona, Karna, Bhurisravas. He justified all of this by saying he is the Lord and he sanctions these violations of the rules of warfare.
The bad bad blood between the cousins had its roots in Bhima selectively marking out the Kauravas for bullying as a child. Why didn’t he do the same to his own siblings. That was the root cause for Duryidhana et almhating the Pandavas. Who were also the darlings of the elders.
Krishna should have stayed out of it and let the cousins duke it out.
