Jang Urdu Edition has reported that Saeed, Wasim, Waqar and some other players will be dropped for Sharjah and players like Naveed Latif, Yasser Arafat, Shadab Kabir, Tauefeeq Umar will be given a chance in Sharjah.
The captain for this cup will be Rashid Latif.
I usually don’t read Jang but I checked Dawn and cricinfo and they haven’t had any news so I have to wait a little longer to confirm the news.
If its true than great news, Wasim and Waqar definatly deserve some rest but kicking out Saeed Anwar when he is not retirin

Maybe Anwar can be replaced for Inzi, one of them have to play. If both are booted out then everything will depend on Youhana.

I think Inzamam clearly needs a break, and Saeed is in good form right now, so it would a mistake to drop him. Bringing in too many players will not do the team any good, we all saw what happened against Australia. I Think Taufeeq should open with Saeed followed by Youhana, Younis Khan, Abdul Razzaq, Azhar Mehmood, Rashid Latif, Shoiab Akhtar, Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, and Saqlain Mushtaq.

They should keep Anwar because he has scored most of the runs in his career at Sharjah. I am sure the selectors are aware of this and will keep him in the team.
Firstly, the only newspaper rrports i give ANY credibility is THE NEWS. Others like Dawan jang, nation all give hear-say news. Well Latif being captain, everyone is saying that but you never know with pcb. Andi also think Saeed will be piacked as inzimam will be dropped.
I woouldn't drop Inzimam. It would make sense if he was still struggling, but he looked like he was ready to hit form again in the last couple of matches where he was striking the ball really well. In one game he was run out, in the other he sacrificed his wicket trying to up our rune rate.
Unless he himself says he wants a break I would pick him.

The News and Jang are one in the same. The News is basically English version of Jang as both are owned by Jang group. I know this story is not reprted in The News but if you dont conisder jang credible then The News is the same.
As far is team is concerned how and why will someone drop Wasim Akram if he is not retiring. He is one of our better players in this world cup. His form in not a question. His fitness is not a prblem. His dicipline was good in this world cup. He is a class act and kicking a legend like Akram out of the team specially when he is playing good cricket is just plain WRONG.
I think we a lot of players of the world cup squad and give some of them a little rest.

i know but English News has different set of reporters, i know it coz one of my relatives in Jang. Thier other stories are same but couple of sections like Sports and buisiness have different sets of reporters. :)
News from Jang Paper is based on uncertainity. No one knows for sure if Rashid is going to be a Captain. It’s just a hear-say.
The only person, who has to be kicked out is Waqar Younis. He has ruined his and team’s reputation by making stupid decisions; got no shame at all whatsoever. I don’t think Wasim Akram will be dropped. He’s a stronger candidate for Captaincy along with Moin Khan and Rashid Latif.
Did you guys read the column of Shoaib from the same source? He told journalists when Pakistan has got coaches like Zaheer Abbas, Javed Miandad, Mushtaq Mohammad; doctors Taufeeq Razzaq and Rizivi, then why we need a foriegn coach and doctor? Accordin’ to the Pybus, players, specially Shoaib didn’t listen to him, didn’t take his advice; and Shoaib confirmed it. Even Inzi said to PCB management before the World Cup, either sacked Pybus or Shoaib!
When our players don’t get along with foriegn coaches and doctors; then why would PCB mangaement hired them in the first place? 
Javed Miandad is a strong candidate for Coach; and I’m sure he’ll be the Coach.

its utter bull**** regarding the news that wasim, waqar and co will be rested and rash’ will be kaptaan, it is just a baseless rumour which will be exposed in a week’s time, when our newspaper have no news on them to publish, what they tend to do is spread bull**** like the one mentioned above about wasim, waqar etc.

Cause myself, I can believe Saeed/Wasim both will be dropped… It just doesn’t make any sense. If Waqar is dropped, thats no big surprise but Anwar and Wasim both have performed. Espcially anwar, the only century from our side and the highest run in WC.
This makes no sense at all.....Akram was amongst the top 3 contenders for the player of the world cup award until pak was knocked out n was the highest wicket taker fr pak....n anwar was probably the highest scorer or sumthin.....40* n hundred in his last two innings....n he's known as the desert fox....for his brilliant performence in sharjah!!!
rashid latif has got a good cricketin brain.....hope we have a good coach...someone like miandad!

Well i also heard that Shahid Afridi and Inzamam aren't allowed to play in the Sharjah cup...not sure though.
