Even Jang Newspaper is printing all IPL matches on the front page with pics but shows Pakistani matches on last pages in obscure corners. As an example.. Pakistan won 20/20 match from Australia yesterday but its news is a small 3 liner on page 16 of todays Jang Newspaper but IPL matches are shown on front pages..
I heard Jang Group have funding from some indian sources as it is always showing indian movies, sports and stuff. Anorther interesting stuff to note is in GEO headlines one always sees headlines ending with some indian movie star news.. such as such and such actress has a new boy friend or some indian actor broke from his girl friend.. howcome, these minor news get in headlines i never have an idea.. what u think?
i dont know personally but my guess is they go for easy money. our country is crazed with indian movies and dramas, so its all about targetting market and income. no idea about matches though. one would think pakistanis would be interested in pakistani cricket team. i have never been fond of jang group and particularily their idiotic anchors on GEO.

If all newspapers are showing results of pakistani matches on front pages while one shows in the last and shows IPL matches on the front what u expect me to do? Is IPL more important that Pakistani national matches?
Pyare ye sab paapi pet ka sawaal hai. Media industry is already under tremendous pressure monetarily. They try to show more of what people want, to boost audience rating and paper sale. You pose very immature querries which all pakistanis are used to , to brow beat by the sentiment of patiotism. If jung has to survive gracefully in this era of throat cutting competition, then they have to adopt all tactics to attract viewers.

Recent series rights were owned by Ten Sports ....... n they didn't sold the broadcasting rightz to Geo Tv ....... or else their viewership in Pakistan wud suffer ........

Well this is true , they also shown indian stars in some stage shows and also coverd indian elections minors stories, they discuss every thing good in indian film and sports but not pakistan,
but Nawa e waqt group is covering full pakistan , its tradition, its culture , its development, its people, and politics , and same as like Express news.
This is a capitalist world now. No nationalism. Make more money is the target. Socalism has been failed and middle way Islam is occupied by the extreemests. So 'Jang' and Geo are doing the same.

people should stop subscribing to geo/the news or atleast write letters threatening that they will do so if they keep up with this IPL bukwas. Thats what I did last year....I was planning to cut geo anyway, but geo super showing IPL gave me a good reason to protest and cut by subscription.
