Janet Jackson has revealed that she married her billionaire Qatari boyfriend last year, quashing reports that the singer was planning a wedding soon.
Jackson, 46, the younger sister of the late singer Michael Jackson, wed the businessman Wissam Al Mana, 37, last year but kept the news under wraps.
“The rumors regarding an extravagant wedding are simply not true,” Jackson and Al Mana said in a statement to Entertainment Tonight on Monday. "Last year we were married in a quiet, private, and beautiful ceremony.
“Our wedding gifts to one another were contributions to our respective favorite children’s charities.”
