‘Teri Yaad Ati Hai’ launched

KARACHI: In an emotion-filled atmosphere the book “Teri Yaad Ati Hai”, authored by Zaibunissa Zaibi, former information officer, Sindh Government, was launched on Tuesday under the auspices of Academy of Literature with Mohsin Bhopali presiding over the ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohsin Bhopali, said that whole poetry of Zaibunissa was based on candour and realism and had touched the heart with her aesthetic sense. The topics, he said, were always amazing. He further said that her writings were also based on boldness and variety.
On this occasion she read out her verse, Such Ki Behurmati, Mujhey Such Nahi Sunna, and enthralled the audience.
Lauding her contributions to Urdu literature, Naqash Kazmi said, he knew Zaibi for the last 20 years and disclosed different fields where she worked around like, information officer, journalists, short story writer, columnist, and social worker.
Dilating on her poetry, he equated her with Ismat Chugtai, Krishan Chunder, Minto, and others.
Gulnar Afreen, speaking on the occasion, described the writer as bold and courageous.
Others who also spoke on the occasion included Prof Khayal Afaqi, Abdul Jabbar, and others.

hmmm, actually Attia its a larger debate,but discussing it can not influence the outcome cross the board.
I am young but I belong to an ‘Old school of thought’ if you want my opinion then I can say ‘Yes’ its not appropriate.
In the past I opened a thread on this explaining what lingo teenagers or other are following without knowing its origin or backdrop or where a certain slang is derived from etc etc,
Its a fact that many slangs or words from porno lingoes are seeping there way into causal ‘English type’ conversation. We have to be careful and on guard.
IMO the good old jolly English is good enough for me to communicate with, and learn more of it rather then jump to idiotic self made ‘taboo’ slang.
