Jammu and Kashmir removed from list of 'disputes' under UN

Re: Jammu and Kashmir removed from list of 'disputes' under UN

What about the areas gifted by Pakistan to China. Should they also be part of the referundum. Would'nt it be great that if both Pakistan and China would agree to withdraw their troops from these areas..

Ok !!! So what changes on the ground…

Re: Jammu and Kashmir removed from list of 'disputes' under UN

Pakistan will never talk about the area they gifted to china otherwise china will **** up their ***.

Re: Jammu and Kashmir removed from list of 'disputes' under UN

Yes, it would be fantastic if India, Pakistan and China withdrew their troops from all these areas.
Yes, all the disputed areas between Pakistan and India should be part of referendum. Deal?

The area under dispute between India and China is another matter to be resolved separately.

You might not find many people to take part in referendum in the area you claim was 'gifted' to China.

Re: Jammu and Kashmir removed from list of 'disputes' under UN

this is not a victory or an acceptance by the rest of the world. The UN is a spineless impotent organization in the context of world politics.

Talking from experience, eh? :)

:D

Re: Jammu and Kashmir removed from list of 'disputes' under UN

Actually according to the original Security Council resolution, only Pakistan and China need to vacate the territories that they control. Then, Indian forces are supposed to move in. I just don't see Pakistan or China agreeing to that part of the mandate.

The fact is, any goodwill Pakistan may have enjoy regarding Kashmir was lost in 1999. With the Mumbai attacks, now even China no longer tries to placate the Pakistani position. Kashmir is now synonymous with terrorism in Indian soil by Pakistan backed militants. All this gesture by the UN does is recognize the reality on the ground, that the LoC is the real international border.
