An operation for demolition of Jamia Hafsa building adjacent to Lal Masjid began Monday, as some rooms of the structure declared dangerous has been demolished. The movement of general public has been restricted around 100 metres of Lal Masjid and adjacent Jamia Hafsa in sector G-6 of Islamabad. The government staff is engaged in work within cordon of plastic sheets around the mosque and the seminary. The heavy machinery and other equipment were reached the site last night to demolish the structure. Some parts of upper storey of Jamia Hafsa and dilapidated rooms in internal portion were demolished today, sources said.
All illegal constructions should be demolised. In this case, a memorial would be a fitting tribute to the brave men of SSG who dispatched foreign miscreants to hell.

**Children Library building near Lal Masjid demolished **

ISLAMABAD: The children library building adjacent to Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa was demolished on Wednesday. The federal development authority had declared the children library’s building dangerous along with Jamia Hafsa structure after the Lal Masjid operation. The authorities decided to demolish the building and the library books yesterday transferred to some other place. It is recalled that the girls of the seminary had occupied the library building before the operation against militants in Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa.
