i’m thinking of getting a lehnga done for my wedding, i want the fabric to be in jamawar.. but all bridal jamawar outfits i’ve seen are ghararas, so i’m not sure if it’ll look nice or not! please post pictures of real bride wearing a jamawar lehnga.. help meee!
Re: jamavar lehnga
If you are going for a simple lehnga, I'd suggest you use a rich fabric like 'kumkhab'. I was at Moon banarsi in Lhr (in March) and saw the MOST amazing kumkhab...they were like pieces of art. The guy was saying that Saadia Mirza and HSY buy 'thaans' at a time. It was for 4-5 thousand rupees per yard.
Truly an heirloom worthy fabric and you need NOTHING on it. It was stunning!
Re: jamavar lehnga
^ Agreed. Sister is wearing mom’s kamkhab valima gharara on her mehndi and its just amazing…so gorgeous I feel like wearing it myself! ![]()
My lehnga was jamavar…I kept the kaam simply on the bottom and focused most of it on my dupatta and shirt. You dont need a lot to dress up jamavar.
