Jalebi stall

hey guys

I am looking to have a jalebi stall so the guests can have fresh hot jalebiya but i can’t find anyone anywhere to do this. i went to a wedding which did but don’t know how to find out who did it for them. anyone here know of anyone in the midlands, uk who could?

Re: Jalebi stall

In case you do not find a jalebi wala. It can be a do it yourself project and it will be much more fun that way. The recipie of jelabi is not so complicated. All you have to do is buy some electric deep fryers which are not so expensive in UK or US. Whoever is going to do it should do a couple of practice runs before the wedding and off you go. Trust me it is not as difficult as it sounds.
Watch a video on you tube to learn it: So easy and much more fun.

Re: Jalebi stall

Thanks Mirch that sounds interesting - doing it yourself - but not sure if i can find someone to agree in such a short space of time - wedding is in June - we will see. & mishy i've tried to get hold of the people whose wedding i went to but they've moved address and dont know any other contact details for them.

If anyone does know of a jalebi stall that would agree please let me know.

Re: Jalebi stall

Bride2b if u live in brum…theres sum pakistani men who make em on the stratford rd …mayb u cud hire them for the day, they hav their own stand thing, where they cook the jalebi’z :bummer: lol I’m sure they’ll b more than willing to :phati:

Re: Jalebi stall

^^
Yes, i kno.... Bride2b - try on Stratford Road - it's called The Pakora Shop - they stand outside n make fresh pakoreh n jalebi - im sure they can help out - there situated near d main supermarkets (rai supermarket/chaudhary supermarket).

hope dat helps!

Re: Jalebi stall

Thats brilliant guys will give it a try

Re: Jalebi stall

One quick question sanam is the Pakora shop you refer to the one outside Mushtaq's sweets or are they part of them?

Re: Jalebi stall

I'm having a jalebi wala and kulfi wala too!..but in Karachi =( wish I cud've helped..

Re: Jalebi stall

Lucky you! you can have really good weddings in pakistan. What you're having sounds lush . keep your fingers crossed for me too!!

Re: Jalebi stall

Thats so neat and yummy! Hope it all works out for you!

Re: Jalebi stall

Yeh u cud ask the one outside Mushtaq's sweet centre or the one'z at the top end, by the supermarkets. The one by the supermarkets makes jalebi's only, i think he's near or outside the meat shop lol anywayz let us kno how u get on lol

Re: Jalebi stall

D quality of d Pakora Shop's jalebis are better than that of Mushtaqs - personal opinion - but may as well taste a sample of jalebis before u book em - n also compare quotes.

Re: Jalebi stall

If you are in london your can check with jalebi junction in southall

Re: Jalebi stall

Does anyone have a contact number for the Pakora Shop? otherwise i will have to do a trip to there from Derby

Re: Jalebi stall

wooow the jalebi stall sounds awosome :D

Re: Jalebi stall

Yup! We're having a "mela" theme! And the groundwork is being done =) Jalebi wala, gulab jamun..puri/paratha, mehndi-wali..flower wala..paan wala..bangles-wali. Inshallah it'll all go well don't worry just book them n keep following-up with them.

Re: Jalebi stall

Sorry dn't hav a contact number, dn't think they hav one...it'z best to cum down and chek out all the stallz on the road...i havent tried any of their jalebi's so wudnt kno which is better, it's best u cum down n chek em out for urself! Try the ladypool rd aswell i think theres few standz there too....dunno if they do jalebi'z or not, but worth cheking out, itz not far from the stratford rd.
