The original post is a Nazm, not a ghazal. Maybe not even a nazm, maybe its a doha. I am confused now. But its not a ghazal :)
I think we should call ARJAY for the final verdict on this. Doha is his father's one of the main traits
RAJU here.........
Insha Chacha's "Jalay Tow Jalao Gori...." sung by Nayyara Noor was recorded at PTV-Lahore years back. It's my favorite of Insha Chacha's many such classics.
It's neither a Ghazal, nor a Nazm nor a Doha.....it's a GEET ! as also confirmed by my Dad (Jamiluddin Aali) also.....
My DAD & INSHA CHACHA were known as inseparables....and in one of his poetic submission.....my Dad has well said;
"JANE KIYON LOGON KI NAZAREIN....
*** UNN TUKK PAUNCHEEN HUM NE TOW....*** 'CHAND NAGAR' KE INSHA SAHEB....AALI JIN KA HAALA THAAH.....
*** NAQD-E-SUKHAN MEIN ZIKR YE AAYA...DOHAY PARHH NE WALA THAAH...***
Insha jee was quite close to Qudratullah Shahab. And I think your father had a lot of professional personal association with him (Shahab) as well. Tell us about him, from you personal experiences or from anything you have heard.

Thanks to Tariq for a referral.........
Off course its a geet. Thank you very much Raju Bhai. Did you actually ask your father this question after I PM you. My god, what an honour (if you did ask him) for me. I feel excited. I must rephrase. It is such an honour for me that you came to this thread after I PM you, its an absolutely joyful intimidation that your father gave his feedback
Raju bhai, what exactly is Doha? I observed that the language of Doha is more rural (deha'tee or maybe more Poorbee). Is my observation correct?
I speak on every one's behalf when I said that we also need you in this forum. You can tell us about your father and then people like Mohsin Bhopali, Inshajee, Raees Amrohi, Iftikhar Arif, Ubaid ullah Aleem, Himayat Ali Shair and all your father's peers. Just like in ShorSharaba, you tell us about your peers.
I know that you are busy but when do we get a chance to talk to a person like you. **Hamara bhi to haq hay aap per :) **
