im confused wast standards for jahiz & bari in pakistan?
1-when u say bari u mean dresses & jewls + walima dress & jewl yes?
2-when u say jahiz u mean dresses & jewls+ barat jewls & dress + home stuff yes?
3-is there any home stuff or furniture on groom?..how much stuff is on girl side???
4-if both family will be same level then bari & jahiz will be nearly same? or girl side always gives more??? or if only they r more rich they give more??? wat if girl side is less rich?
5-so usauly if bari & jahiz r in compare or its according richness or according culture girl side gives more?
6-so even if bari & jahiz jewls & dress will be same still home stuff is from girl side so finaly always girls side gives more(rather cases the girl side is less rich?)???
they r all qs in my mind can u clear me abt pakistani culture i never understand it…
cuz my hubby say groom side gives gold girl side jahiz so wats diffrent when girl side give jewl on barat same as they give on walima…so confusinggggggggggggggggggg

jahiz is more stuff from girls side like dress to jewl to furniture to bathroom things, and bari is only dress and jewl frm boys side :)

grooms dosnt gives any home stuff, sorry :( but girls give many things like everything to ur new bedroom, everything u need ;D bathroom things for watt u n ur hubby need and the last everything to the kitchen :( soo there is alot of things

girls side always gives more, like on baraat day, only girls family gives gifts to whole boys family frm kids to elder ppl.. yess if they r more rich... it dosnt matter girls is rich or not, rules is the same.. sorry :(

Basically agree with what has been said above. Jahaiz is from girls side, and bari from grooms. In my family the grooms side tend to give more gold to the girl in bari, than girls parents do in jahaiz. However, jahaiz has furniture etc, where as bari does not.
