How many joray did you people take in your jahez? If you still are to get married and are getting married soon, how many joray is your mother getting ready for you?
Do you think 100 joray in jahez is a bit too much or okay?
it depends on ur lifestyle, and besides 100 joras does not actually mean each one has alot of kaam on it.
they maybe very trendy casual clothes too, including lawn, cotton, chiffon, khaddar, etc
but yes, 100 is too much :)
Oh really? Coz I was thinking about the same thing. 100 does not mean all of them would be with heavy kaam etc. Some of them would be casual ghar par pehne wale kapre too. I think Kinzz you are right fashion changes. So I should tell mum to reduce the amount then
100 does sound like a lot to me as my lifestyle wouldn't require that many. But do all the jahez joras need to be stiched? That may allow you to get them sewn to the latest trend as and when required.
I just cant back from pakistan n ordered abt 12 heavy n semi heavy formals, 2 sarees and 8-10 nice lawn outfits. My wedding is in june and will be in lahore...i will stay two weeks in lahore after the wedding...so thats why i didn't get toooo many heavy formals. I really all depends on how many party u ll be attending after the wedding...n what is normally the dress code like. Because once i return to US i will have dawats but wont be wearing heavy outfits to them :)
Damn... i dont even want 25 joras!!! I am having 10 from my side and 10 from in-laws.. but i still think its too much because I wanna wear westerns not heavy salwar kameez.. but oh well.. i wont be shopping for a while then :)
Depends on your social life. I had mroe than 50 but that was because of non-stop post-shaadi davats you have to attend.
And yes, the fashions and trends change so another idea is to get unstitched outfits you can just stitch up later on according to the trends...like ajars, shalwars, pajamas, patialas, etc.
Dubaiwali all those clothes are going to get out of fashion. I don't know about you but I certainly wouldn't want to wear something that's out of fashion. Kam banao. It's not like you can't buy clothes later on.
