Hey gals so I’m planning to do my wedding shopping as well while I am in Lahore. I have a bunch of print outs of what I’d like to get made..my question is does anyone know of any kaam walay or designer who would copy these designs for me exactly and do a good job? I really am looking for someone who is not crazy expensive and can be reliable to do an awesome job. I’ve heard from a bunch of girls that some kaam walay you give them the picture and they will do an exact replica. If so, can someone please tell me where they are located in Lahore and give me some contact number or something. Would greatly appreciate it! Also, share stories about finding your jahez kapray!

I’m sure you’ll find plenty just exploring Liberty basement and Anarkali. A lot of the stuff they have displayed are copies so you can see who has done a good job or not. Also, unless you have very specific taste, you’ll probably forget all about the pics you have as there is plenty of nice stuff.

Aroosia is a karigaar walay who do anything you want? Nice...thanks so much guys. Any other shops I should know of to get some heavy formal suits. I do not have much time, I have to attend my cousins wedding first.....can some kaam walay make your suit in like 5-6 days? Otherwise I guess I will have to resort to some readymade....but I rather prefer to make my own.

yes.. they will make you original pieces or copies. their work (kaam) is stunning. i rarely like what they have displayed. just go in and ask to see stuff and they have lots of samples or outfits they have made for other people that are yet to be collected. they are on the pricier side though.
i think it's unlikely that you can have anything made from scratch in 5-6 days, especially with all the load shedding etc. but you will probably be able to find stuff that can be altered to your size or unstitched stuff that can be stitched to your size.
again.. just wander around Liberty (as it's easiest), you should find plenty of stuff. you can find the a lot of the same stuff for cheaper in Anarkali but then you really need someone who knows where to go, to take you. Or if you want to go designer, you could go to MM Alam road.
