I got a letter from Jadoo TV saying all the channels of any value are being disconnected starting today.
Is anyone else a Jadoo TV user here? I recently bought this device after someone’s recommendation and feel ripped off.

It's nothing more than a box that connects to the internet and relays the online streams to your TV. It was BS from the start. Should of done your research...

I know someone who bought the jadoo box ( $200 I think) . All channels were streamed from web servers. So if web servers went kaput , jadoo went kaput. This sorta thing was expected. There us another such service as well, TV Desi, or something like that

its not just like web server its like card sharing thing people have started now as DSL is available in Pakistan.
It could have been started or still can be started from anywhere but the thing is it is traceable, so Pakistan is nice place such things.

its like card sharing. a person buy a subscription. They sent him subscription card that he / she can put into the Reciver to watch. Now there are many methods to share that card through LAN / WAN and in such form that other can watch the channels too by using the keys allotted to that card.

^ aaho, you're talking about internet card sharing (IKS), a relatively new phenomenon. But this Jadoo TV is not even close to to IKS.. Basically Jadoo tv is a box which connects to your internet and loads the "webpage" or stream.. which you can simply do yourself on computer. :D

I’m not surprised it flopped…
Well... I wouldnt think this was completely useless. I was able to watch the T20 world cup live, Pakistan Srilanka series and was hoping to watch the champions trophy on Geo Super again. However, that was one of the channels that also got cut.
I must say during the T20 worldcup I was very happy with the coverage (no lag) and the picture quality.

You were able to watch the cricket so buying the jadoo box was money well spent 
You still get a few decent Pakistani channels on jadoo box. Anyway, a couple of my fav channels are still working like Ten Sports and Peace TV. And you can add channels to it. so no big deal.

Folks, I was told about jaadoo tv today and was looking for input before considering buying it. Good that I checked.
I've been looking for a solution for past few days to get streaming off the net + flickr + youtube etc. kinda like hybrid of media center + internet = htpc. I looked at the xbmc software which is awesome. Today I saw some youtube of acer aspire revo nettop/desktop which's got nVidia ion GC and atom cpu and thing is really stylish and small and I almost ordered it (is selling for $359) but then I read somewhere that they might be introducing duo core in the fall. so xbmc on revo will do wonders -- you could write up some python script and get all the desi chanel stream freely available via xbmc.
has anyone used xbmc here? if so, have you tried using some plugin or python script to aggregate desi tv streams? any thoughts?

Hello every one just wanted to share a little info about a device named JadooTv Box. I think for me it was a very good device because I was from India so I was unable to watch any good indian channels in my apartment in America, before I bought this device. I had to find an IPtv that was best for me. First I was puzzled by all the fake and costly devices that were advertised on some sites and internet. But this confusion was over when I watched some channels of JadooTv in my friends apartment then I bought it. My husband watched the whole T20 and ICC champions trophy on it although he was really upset with our teams performance but still he enjoyed the series. We are really happy with device If any of you bought this device please share your experience with me. Thanx
