I have watched this drama like2-3 tomes now. Still love this drama serial. Growing up we used to imagine that living in the US is pretty much like in the movies like Dostana, Kabhi Alvida na kehna, Mohabattein, Kuch kuch hota hai but as we grew up this is what living in the US is pretty much like. Sadly or Interestingly, I happen to know all the real life characters of Jackson heights.:)[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“full”,“src”:“https://pak.gupshup.org/core/image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAPABAP///wAAACH5BAEKAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAICRAEAOw==”}[/IMG2]:)[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“full”,“src”:“https://pak.gupshup.org/core/image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAPABAP///wAAACH5BAEKAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAICRAEAOw==”}[/IMG2]. I can really relate to this drama:
what do u guys think?
I started watching it, but then for some reason stopped after a few episodes. I did like it though. Very realistic drama.
Will start watching it again.
Never heard of this drama before, but I like the work (and the personality) of Aamina Sheikh, so I started watching. It's great! I've reached the 10th episode now. I hope this drama helped people to understand the misunderstandings between people in Pakistan and people living abroad.
When we were kids we used to think that life in the US or UK was like Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Dilwale dulhaniya ley jayeng etc but now we understand the real lives of desi expats are actually like shown in Jackson Heights.
Can confirm 'Jackson Heights' is an exceptional drama and so realistic. Noman Ijaz as Bhatti Saab was one of the highlights and had great chemistry with Aamina Sheikh. It was written by Vasay Chaudhry, who is more well known as a TV host nowadays.
'Bilqees Kaur' is another drama that explores a similar subject. Bushra Ansari plays the title role to perfection.
