Pmln has always played the ‘Punjab card’, they know this is the province which they need to win to remain in power. This was the slogan which swayed people towards Pmln in the 90’s, then during the previous regime Punjab govt under shahbaz sharif played the same card convincing people that PPP led federal govt was conspiring against Punjab by carrying out unprecedented loadshedding. This logic did sink down among the public, we saw what happened in the preceding elections. Fast forward, 2015 - the way the government has tackled CPEC project it is creating doubts amongst the public of smaller provinces. When they ask for their rights they are readily declared traitors. On the other hand it’s Pmln itself which is again playing the Punjab card, us versus them. If others ask for their rights they are traitors when Pmln does it, it’s patriotic and only asking for the rights for is people. This destructive policy could deliver Pmln short term advantages, but could have a detrimental impact in the long run.

Punjab will ultimately become Pakistan releasing at least two provinces Sindh and Baluchistan. jo kaam nationlists na kar sakay yeh punjabi brathern kar dekhainge. Founding Pakistan was the greatest mistake in the history of the Muslim world.
Re: Jaag Punjabi jaag
Drumroll
And lets blame Punjab...
It is Punjab who is killing people in Karachi and Qayem Ali Shah, Zardari, Altaf Hussain and many other looters of sindh are originally from Lahore's Gawal Mandi and Gulberg Area....they just forged their documents / domiciles to become Sindhi....and now they are looting Sindh and filling their bank accounts in Dubai...opps in Punjab (dubai is city of Saints)
Same with KPK..
WALI khan and pervaiz khatak are lahori by origin, was often seen at phatas of Phaja the paye wala..in their childhood...
Some says they use to work there and God knows the reality...
So yes it is Punjab...woh wont get gas, and get scolded for using electricity and when it installs it ls own coal plant others cant digest it...
Re: Jaag Punjabi jaag
It is always someone else's fault..... Like they say in Angreji
"Success has many fathers, failure is an orphan"
Re: Jaag Punjabi jaag
Sorry to see pti basing it "change" mantra on CPEC which is proposed and planned by PMLn.
KPK should get how much they demand against electricity royalty just like they dont face gas loadshedding. But playing Pushtun victim is definitely going to cost them.
Re: Jaag Punjabi jaag
PMLn is making fool people of punjab in the name of CPEC and PTI pulling ethnic card in KPK, ranting randomly like route is changed or no economic zone is being built in KPK. Can somebody let me know how the economic zone thing will boost our economy magically? I mean, china can help us build some advanced manufacturing units but where will be the raw/processing material coming from? Who will be doing international marketing to export?
has anybody worked with local industry to know which areas needs improvements?
Without collaboration of local industry, how will you be running advanced units in the jungle?
I think energy issues can be fixed.

Seriously? Come on....
The whole CPEC is planned and proposed by Chinese. They were working on it from PPP's time. PMLN only gets credit for fishing some projects for Eastern route as Shahbaz Sharif went to China and signed contracts.
You know exactly where I stand on the whole Punjab bashing issue, do you seriously think there is absolutely nothing wrong with PNLN holding off KPK's NHP? Why shouldn't Khattak ask for it?

Do you think that it would have started materializing if PPP was still in Power? Like it or not, PMLn way better than PPP in diplomacy.
Khatak should ask for whatever his right and there are countless ways to pressurize govt to do so. Playing Pushtun card is the easiest one and it also get sympathies of locals.

You really think Ganjay are doodh ke dhuleh that they didn't try to play any dirty politics over CPEC and aren't deliberately riling up KPK just to seek revenge from their worst opponents?
They maintained super secrecy on CPEC, even IMF is crying about lack of transparency. Instead of PM or anyone talking to the provisional govermnets, you only read in newspapers how wonderful CPEC is. Even now, PM only decided to cal APC when Khattak said they will block the Western route. Why can't they do things without pushing people's to the wall? Do you agree with their conduct?
Kh. Asif ignores KPK's pleas, and only decides to hold a meeting with them when they finally threaten to cut their electricity. You think such attitude from PMLN ministers help the cause? Let's call the wrong, wrong!

Like what? It's been three years, let's see what are the other ways to get PMLN's attention in due time. In other thread I've posted an article, where Kh. Asif didn't even bother showing up to meeting that was meant o decide the payment plan. Isn't this deliberately provoking?
Re: Jaag Punjabi jaag
Dharna or resignation for your rights?
What we see is PTI is exerting pressure for CPEC share only.
Re: Jaag Punjabi jaag
As far as I see it, it's Pmln which plays the Punjab card successfully. We can see how they played it during the last PPP regime. Then it's called standing for ones rights, When others do it they are traitors. Secondly CPEC was conceived during PPP tenure and they were working on the route passing through the center of the country, some of the most impoverished areas of the country. Pmln changed that, and conflicting statements of their ministers on the topic did not help.

Sorry none of these things actually worked in the past for other issue. Unless the point is that make enough noise so the Army chief intervenes and decides the next course of next action, as this is exactly what happened last time.
KPK government has also been putting pressure to get their net hydel profit which has been going on for last three years, well before the CPEC controversy. Do you think KPK should get its net hydel project or Kh. Asif's way of avoiding meeting and backtracking from his words is the way to go? Let's admit that these PMLN walas are crooks and they have their own ways of frustrating others to seek political revenge.

OK, ask PPP to expose PMLn by showing original documented route, will you?
Re: Jaag Punjabi jaag
@ajazali,
If Pashtun card was so attractive and guarantee for votes, then KPK would have held on to ANP, just like Muhajirs don’t let go of MQM and Sindhis are holding on to PPP. But KPK had also voted for the PMLN in the past, and current party it is being ruled by is non KPK based. So let’s not dismiss their genuine grievances as baseless pseudo ‘ethnic victimisation’.
On CPEC even PMLM-KP is standing with the local leadership. That’s how serious the concerns are.
Re: Jaag Punjabi jaag
There is smoke where there is a fire. Which original master plan is Pmln supposedly now executing?

Unfortunately, PPP is in so much sheeet that they genuinely cannot do any opposition without being blackmailed and put into their place.

Well, i personally dont care what khatak says. I also believe that IK want it tackled differently but Khatak is sort of out of control. So lets be it.
Obviously PMLn are corrupt and would save their political interests first. Just like Khatak says hazara walo tum bhi zyada khush na ho main b CPEC nae ban-nay dun ga, utha k lay jao apni sarak.
Re: Jaag Punjabi jaag
It says the government has now released the original map of the project.
PPP had nothing?
What are your findings? or just following punjab bashing?
