America is already making its 5th Generation fighers while China finally catches up and makes a 4th Generation fighter

Isn't the JXX being developed a fifth generation fighter?

^^ its still in the planning stages....

it will take at least 10-15 years before all the tests are done and its inducted into service but the mainstay of the Chinese Air Force will probably be the J-10 Fighter for another 20 years or so...

the J-XX, if it becomes deployable in 10 years or so, won't become the back bone of the Chinese air force for another 10-15 years.....

By that time USA will have probably moved on to a 6th Generation Fighter....

China is around 25-30 years behind USA....

the J-10 fighter that China is starting to produce has the same capability as the F-15. The F-15 was developed by USA in the 1980's
