Why is rape of a woman called ‘izzat lootna’ in sub-continent?

Why do we think that woman loses her ‘izzat’ if she is raped? If anyone loses anything, it is the rapist who loses his humanity.

because a woman's izzat is property of man in our part of the world.

Haven't you heard phrase 'zar, zameen, zan'. If zar and zameen can be looted then third property as well.

This word has been excessively commercialised, dramaticized (and dare I say glamoursied?) by Bollywood. In Pakistan, the word zeyadati is often used, at least formally.

there are so many words to describe this incident.

Ziadati, Zabardasti, Ismat durri (Naseem Hijazi's novels), munh kala karna (from Bollywood?), Aabroo-raizi, etc
