We will be going for my 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] IVF cycle next year InshaAllah…intend to start around March time
Since my last failed cycle, I have gained quite a bit of weight and have been asked to lose weight before starting the next cycle to give us a good chance of success.
My weight currently is 70kg and I need to loose around 12kg. Any tips? I just need motivation as 1 unsuccessful cycle has been making me feel down already and it seems it will never happen for me
I usually have porridge for breakfast, soup for lunch and fruit as snacks
have roti in the evening
I have just bought a treadmill and exercise bike to use at home. You think that will make a difference? How often and for how long should I use it for?
In Shaa Allah you will lose th weight and also have a healthy baby. start out with 10 minutes on each machine, slow and steady and then increase to 30 minutes each after some time. How tall are you?
Is the weight gain due to medications you are on or diet related issues? The treadmill should definitely help. Proper diet in conjunction with a good exercise plan will definitely help. Eat when you are hungry and not when you are depressed. Inshallah you will definitely have a healthy baby. Have faith in Allah. Also try to read names of Allah. There are some specific names (wazeefa). Make sincere dua to Allah.
first , I would suggest you to do walk in some park etc. I have no scientific evidence but as per my own experience walking in park is more affective than walking on treadmill. May be because your mind enjoys it more. Plus , walk in morning time I can tell u that your metabolism would then be very fast through out the day.
second , eat proper meal but reduce the size of portion. I once lost 30 kgs weight just by reducing the portion of my meal and avoiding sugary stuff. I used have to roti also and rice also. Don’t make your self suffer.
Eliminate fried things from your diet completely and switch to grilled.
Plus , I have heard that (not personally experienced) that having 1 or 2 mildly warm glasses of water when you wake up (before eating anything) helps alot.

Cutting down on meat in general (even if its chicken) helps me to reduce weight as well as sweet stuff. In Sha Allah you will lose weight . The exercise bike had helped me a lot in the past, but now due to knee issues I can’t use it.
