i just read up on them and it does sound promising... i would buy just so i dont havta burp him that often.. is that true what they say.. reduces the need to burp the baby significantly.. some posters are saying they didnt at all :o
and it also says tey are hard to clean and difficult to put together.. what u say mama?

If I remember right, they were just a little hard to put together the first couple of times but once you've got it down, its just fine. Cleaning them is a bit of a pain in the neck, there are more parts to it than with other bottles (the straw thing and the insert). But it was well worth the extra effort. It came with a very skinny little toothbrush thing that you use to clean the straws and that worked nicely but was an extra thing to do.
Anyway, my son had gas that got "stuck" all the time. After feeding him, I'd burp and burp and it could take up to 40 minutes before it came out one end or the other. The dr. brown bottles corrected that right from the start. I;d still burp him, sometimes get a little bit out sometimes not but either way, his gas pains stopped with those bottles.

ok just ordered cuz of u mama :D but i wont ***** if they dont work.. my poor baby loves milk mashallah se.. and he burps fast when i put him up (well mostly), but just the fact that he needs to be burped so often, he looses his appetite for the while and after a few minutes will get hungry again so teh feeding cycle just keeps goin and going and going :o

Just another thought....have you considered mixing just a little bit of baby cereal into his bottles? I've known a couple of moms who did this for their really young ones with big appetites and it seemed to work well for them.

khawa, we also used Dr BRowns bottles for Kanzah to begin with since i heard from folks that they are the best. She still had gas then and she has it now and i think its just how her system is. But you really should give these a try, they are like the king of bottles. Now i use Born Free ones and love those. Btw, since Dr Browns were the only ones we used,i didnt think they were that hard to wash or put together.

Ira, r u having better luck with those bottles in terms of gas? Why did u switch
khawa, i needed bigger sized bottles for the rare times she wanted more than 4 ozs and decided to try a different brand. The Born Free ones are also advertised to help with gas etc but i like their material more than Dr Browns. Like i said, i dont know if DB helps Kanzah since she is a gassy baby to begin with.

so goin by mamas advice, i searched for dealers in canada who sell dr brown bottles. its good for babies sufffering from acid reflux, colic and gas though its also meant to reduce the need for burping and spit ups..
i was in search for something to help aariz reduce his gas whilst feeding.. the kid had to be burped every friggin half oz! it would take me an hour to get him to drink his 5 oz cuz he would take in a lot of air even though his nipples are the anti colic ones that also keep air bubbles from entering the baby’s mouth… but it wasnt working.. he would fall asleep a few mins after feeding and the rest of the feed was a struggle..
so.. the dealer ended up being right next to hubby’s work place.. he went yesterday only to find that its just offices… there were 2 women and a man coming out of a meeting .. the man was speaking english. he left and one of the women asked imran what he wanted.. and imran said he was in search of special feeding bottles.. the woman asked if he was asking about rockstar bottles (some other special bottles they supply) and imran said no actually i mlooking for dr.browns bottles
the women were in shock .. then one goes,
that man that just left, THAT was dr.brown!!
imran was so surprised and wishing he had come a earlier!!
turns out , it was dr.browns first meeting in denmark to showcase the dr.brown feeding system and these dealers would be the first to carry the bottles in denmark. he had left samples and they were actually gonna try out the system before putting it on the market.
so the woman was so nice.. she said she will give imran 2 bottles for free to try out , if only he promises to right a review on how he found them.. or aariz found them actually 
man the world is so small eh
