Anyone here gone through it or know anyone who did?
What are the chances the clinic can miss your TTC?
Any success stories?

Re: IUI Process..
I would really like to know about it too. Hope someone shares it here.
Read it on other forums and blogs, but no one has shared a satisfactory personal experience yet, all were research and evaluations.

^they are two very different procedures, for different purposes.
I had one to up our chances while ttc. We did not need it necessarily.
Re: IUI Process..
How can the clinic ‘miss’ it…??
I mean weren’t they doing serial ultrasounds to see when you were ready for the procedure..??
Anyway,I am sorry …better luck next time,Inshallah…![]()
Re: IUI Process..
Im not sure what you mean by the clinic missing your TTC, but Im guessing you mean if they miss your ovulation date. When you are having an IUI, depending on what medications you are taking [if you are taking any], you will need to go in for ultrasounds, ranging from one a cycle, to one every second or third day even. So they will be closely monitoring you. When they see your follicles have reached the desired size, you will take the hCG shot to trigger your ovulation, and the IUI will typically be 24-48 hours later. I have had 3 IUIs and say I took my shot Monday night, the IUI would be Wednesday morning, about 36 hours later. Some doctors even two 2 IUIs a cycle. So I think the chances arent high of bad timing, unless the hCG shot is taken too early or too late, which is why you need the ultrasounds to monitor when the timing is correct, and that the IUI doesnt take place too long after the shot, because the egg doesnt live for more than 24 hrs after being released

Re: IUI Process..
I had 3 IUIs done.Unfortunately none of them worked for us.The first 2 cycles I took Clomid for ovulation and induction and the third and last cycle took the injections for the same purpose .I did ovulate all 3 times and had 1 IUI every cycle but they never worked.
There are success stories if you check them out.It all depends why you are having the IUI.For some the cause of infertility will be such that an IUI wont increase their chances at conception that much and for such cases an IVF will be a better option.
All the best...!!
