Good decision Diwana. You're going to love the switch to Android.
Thanks. So far liking my decision except the problem I mentioned above and below.
The bluetooth communication between my car and Note4 is not like I had with iphone.
My car does not show calls made from or received by Note4 when I was outside the car,.. if I have not used the car itself to make calls or received by the car, then I have to pick up the phone and dial again from the phone.
This is despite I gave permission to car to access my call logs. Before, it was refreshed automatically when I used iphone.
Anyhow, there is much more to do now with android. It is programmable in many ways and has many great features.
I cannot compare it with iPhone6 or 6Plus though. Not used them.
Try disconnecting and reconnecting the phone. I have attached most of my phones to my car and they all connected with not only my call logs and most of my contacts (I have an extensive db). Mostly though, i don’t use my car for making calls. Reason being that I might be close to my car (once or twice in my house even) and suddenly my call disappears. I later found that the car’s BT system took over. :hehe:
I have a BT headset that I listen my audio through and use for calls. its the LG HBS730
Anyhow, there are differences between the 2 platforms. Even though I detest the iOS platform there are certain items that do work well on it. Just like the Macs. I switched to a MacBook a couple of years ago and I love it. With that being said, I don’t like how restricted I feel with the iOS platform (no, I don’t feel like that on the Mac ).
I’m sure you made the comparison due to which you switched. The pros list is bigger and its grown over the years for the Android platform. The Note series is the best model out there (IMHO). I am using an LG phone currently but should be switching in a week or so. I miss my Note 3. Once I get it we’ll start a Note 4 fan club, what do you say?
You don't need Kies for the most part. Just to transfer files you can do it with Windows Explorer and on Mac using Android File Transfer utility. if you need to do updates using the computer (if you've bricked the phone) you use Kies.
The SMS transfer is bit complicated, Android and iOS SMS databases are incompatible. You need to backup your iPhone SMS on your computer and then copy it to your Android phone, then you have to convert it to Android SMS structure with an app. Tried it for a friend long back, and it worked.

I used Kies for backing up entire phone. Is that not the right thing to do?

Yes, that is what TLK suggested. Unfortunately it did not work for me.
TLK method worked. I uninstalled and re-installed apps. SMS from iPhone can be seen but in different format and not really get merged with Android format.
Thank you. Made my decision because of many better features and flexibility of using android, even though iPhone had few other good features which I became used to.. and miss. :)
