Sunni, shia, ahmedi, whatever. As long as you folks keep fighting amongst yourself you will never ammount to anything.
Call yourself muslims, thats what you are, follow ALLAH and his word, and unite as brothers.
Dont go around slamming each other, dont go around posting crap about each other, respect each other as MUSLIMS and let Allah decide who’s right and who’s wrong.
Thinly veiled questions mocking anothers faith and belief’s dont do anyone any good. I have been more or less silently observing this forum for years now, and yet for all the thousands of posts for, and against any particular sect or belief system, i have yet to see anyone come to any particular conclusion. The same lines , questions and ideas are flung over and over again with no end in sight.
What good does it do for you to slam the other sect ? to slam those who may have a slightly varied belief system than you ? Have you reached a conclusion? have you made the other reach a conclusion ? Nah..all you do is flame flame flame.
So forget it for once…forget that the other is sunni or shia or ahmedi or any other sect. Just for once consider that they call themselves Muslim, and they believe they have every right to. Let Allah decide who’s correct. For once band together and make this ummah proud, make it strong, make it so that one man feels the pain of the other, so that we are like one , in body, mind and spirit.
Then and only then will we be able to ease the suffering of our brothers and sisters who get mamed, raped, murdered and worse..every single day.
i dont know.. ideally i'd like nothing better than an open environment where understanding is fostered through openness and questions arent thinly veiled insults as you put it.
on the whole I agree with you. people should remember that our primary identity comes through Islam.
had Abu Bakar (ra) and the other companions thought the same way and let musailma kazzab and other false prophets be accepted;;;; and had they let the khawarij call themselves muslims and not felt the need to identify them by a particular label, i think the real Islam wud have been long lost....

And us insulting each other is def wrong but there are some members here who are patient enough to explain things without getting offensive. Yea we can all go research on our own but this is alot more informative and interactive.
Every thread i seem to try and read disintegrates into shia/sunni fasaad. Every article/question/comment disintegrates into a row. How can it possibly be informative when u just have miles and miles of 'my book says ur book says', how can anyone learn anything from it. Can't people make their point succintly so people are aware than leave it.
Maniac, I agree with you whole heartedly. thank you for standing up and saying something that actually for once makes sense. I appreciate your stance. Yes, muslims are facing much bigger issues in the world and trust me its not going to get better until we stand united at all fronts in regards to islam.
There were even bigger issues at the time of Abu Bakr and the other Sahaba who cracked down on false interpretations of Islam - such as the presence of 2 superpower states trying to wipe out Islam.
Both the enemies outside of the Ummah, and the enemies hiding amongst the Ummah, must be dealt with, and both at once.
Note: I’m by no means implying that shias are amongst those ‘enemies’. But there are certain others who are, who are twisting Islam and creating something else…

So you are telling me the as predicted by Quran the one eye guy who is going to spread fitna are you telling me that us Muslims ( the Muslims who believe in the finality of prophet Mohammad :saw: ) even at that time we Muslims are suppose to stay quiet ? What is wrong is WRONG. If I call my self prophet tomorrow ( Nawoozbillah) and you start following my lead, would that makes you a Muslim? Sorry sir, not in Islamic dictionary, that makes you worst than a kafir.
In short, be careful whom you consider Muslims. Yes who are we to include and expel anyone from the circle of Islam, but thats why Allah :swt: has given us His book to read and follow the last prophet Mohammad :saw: teachings.
