we are having January thaw [Indian Summer]…All the snow is GONE! :slight_smile: the temps ahve constantly been dropping since noon time and by tonight we’ll be back into frigid cold! :frowning:

India? Indian Summer is the time in the dead of winter in Canada when 4-6 days of warm weather prevails, snow melts and usually have rains…it’s also called ‘January Thaw’! :slight_smile: i’m still in Canada…:slight_smile:

^ Now, that is a good question.

Density of snow can be assumed to be constant ( neglection variation as f( temperature). Hence weight of snow falling on a unit area will be higher ( or snow is heavier) if the amount of snow accumulation over a fixed duration is higher ( or heavier).

Assuming no melting over the period considered and low wind greater the snow thickness over set period, heavier the snow.
