That’s right. Locally accessible at my local fruit market, maybe for a limited time, fresh batch of Java Plums aka Jamun. $2.50 for a pack.
Please let this be an exclusive thing, so you don’t end up with best of both ![]()

Re: It’s okay Texas: I have access to Java Plum fruit in lieu of Mangoes
Neem has some religious significance in some South Indian communities.

Re: It’s okay Texas: I have access to Java Plum fruit in lieu of Mangoes
Falsa has no english name. It does have a scientific name.
For details refer to Wikipedia.

Re: It’s okay Texas: I have access to Java Plum fruit in lieu of Mangoes
Falsa trees are available to order if your place can accommodate a tree 10-15foot tall. There are some nurseries that sell tropical trees.
Re: It’s okay Texas: I have access to Java Plum fruit in lieu of Mangoes
That is a blessing indeed!
Re: It’s okay Texas: I have access to Java Plum fruit in lieu of Mangoes
No. Just no. Plums are no match for mangoes. Jamun mubarak ho, but I’d still rather enjoy a Pakistani mango and I will. ![]()
