Richard Armitage, a former secretary of state, advised: “If the most dominant military force in the region the Israel Defence Forces can’t pacify a country such as Lebanon, with a population of four million, you should think carefully about taking that template to Iran, with strategic depth and population of 70 million … The only thing that the [Israeli] bombing has achieved so far is to unite the population against the Israelis.”
I know one thing for sure, that this is just the beginning of the armaggeddon. I have my beliefs. There is a saying - “Its always calm before the storm”
Although the main storm has settled, its really calm now, & once peace is “maintained” for sometime, I think there will be a full blown attack. Like I said, its always calm before the storm.
With a chic at work I was discussing about my truck how big it is and how I got big momma engine with 4WD and none slip diff and what not.. She drives an echo and said, when will you men learn that size dosen't matter :D
About time US/Isreal learn the same, I am sure US has learned its lesson in Vietnam and North Korea.
Supreme Leader’s Message to Hezbollah Secretary General
Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, has described the victory of the Hezbollah Resistance Movement over the Zionist regime as the “Victory of Islam”.
In a message to Hezbollah Secretary General, Seyyed Hassan Nasrollah, Ayatollah Khamenei said: “The victory of Hezbollah was in fact the victory of Islam. Hezbollah proved that military power depends on faith, Jihad, sacrifice, intellect and prudence, rather than mass weaponry.”
The Supreme Leader further stated: “Hezbollah destroyed the myth of the Israeli Army’s invincibility, causing disgrace for the Zionist regime. All Arab nations are proud of you, the Secretary General of Hezbollah.”
The Supreme Leader touched upon the Israeli aggressions in Lebanon, saying: “Such atrocities prove nothing but the empty claims by US, European and Zionist officials about Human Rights, freedom and democracy.”
Ayatollah Khamenei pointed out: “The US and the Zionist regime were intent to create their so-called “New Middle East”, but they underestimated the bravery and prudence of the Lebanese nation.”
Richard Armitage is joining a growing list of people who were formerly pro-zionist, now actually questioning the usefulness of Israel to America. The fact that Israel has suffered a defeat on a far broader scale (military, diplomatic, PR, even economic) than any of us predicted has shocked a lot of the die hard defenders of Israel.
