I thought I’d eat healthy today. So for lunch I went out and bought a chunk of bread and a pot of red pepper dip.
I ate the bread and used up all the dip.
I sat there congratulating myself on eating a healthy and tasty meal.
Out of curiosity, I wanted to see how healthy it was.
I began reading the tub of dip, and discovered that the amount of dip that I just took had almost 1000 calories .
It turns out that one serving of dip is supposed to be 2 tablespoons (30 g) . I took one tub full. (227g)
No more food for me for the rest of the day
Re: It's hopeless

Re: It’s hopeless
Yeah, but my dinner is aroun 800 calories, breakfast was a couple of hundred, I’ve had 4 servings of sugar through coffee in the day… I’m on track for around 3000 calories.
And I might go out for dinner which will be even more.

Bread is realllllllllly fattening. If you must eat bread, make sure it is whole wheat or 12 grain brown bread.

Re: It's hopeless
if you're on a diet, what the heck are you eating bread for?
Re: It's hopeless
Don't think of it in terms of diet. Just make healthy food choices. Try to stay away from processed foods. Eat foods that are as close to their natural state as possible. So lots of fruit, veggies, lean meats, whole grain breads. Everyone's dissing bread but you can still eat carbs. Just don't overdo it. Get a good amount of fibre. White bread has no fibre.
Re: It’s hopeless
All-Bran bites for breakfast every morning, that’s what goes into me everymorning
(and comes out too )
At any rate, I partially compensated. Lost 115 calories at the gym. Don’t laugh
