what a waste of money :nook:

Hain..
Its excellent use of money. :k: And more than money Its hard work of years

Its part of effor to neutralize the image of supposedly terrorists country, where bombs explode everywhere.

When 600 artist come from 33 different countries to perform, it is not some ordinary event. It is hardwork and dedication of people working for Rafee peer theater workshop (A non-profit organization) to promote a lively and peaceful image of our country. They are organizing these events for last seven of eight year and number of participants is growing every year. Earlier it was International puppet festival, in which puppeteer from all over the world used to participate.

:jhanda:

waste of money is lyay k logon k paas pene ka saaf pani nai, we dont have enough resources for basic social issues like healthcare and education, and then we decide to spend money on fazoolYaat like these..i mean, is se ghareeb awaam ka kya faida ho ga?

Aap ko polititian ban-ney ka shouq hai, than its ok. because they talk like this

*Ghareeb admi pis raha hai

Ameer admi Ameer se hota jaraha hai

Ghareebon ko khaney our peeney ko nahi milta bla bla blah*

Reality is harsh, we know condition will not change much.

Other than basic necessities poor people of pakistan need Entertainment to remain alive in these harsh conditions.

these events provide much needed relief from frustrations...

Following this, there will be ** Horse and cattle show** and** Basant **

Lots of money will be spent on these occasions aswell ( you can call it waste ). But in reality it is entertainment for poor people. These are the forms they can afford. And they really enjoy :)

nai ji Allah maaf karay syasatDaan banNe k koi iraday nai haen mere :stuck_out_tongue:

lekin this kind of fancy entertainment where loads of money is being spent, i just dont approve of it. basant and horse and cattle show poor ppl can enjoy as well lekin not this type of stuff. plus they also open doors for employment, altho temporary, of many poor ppl. they r more for all the tabQas of society. this tho seems to be by the rich for the rich.

plus i dont know how decent the theatrical performances r, and i also dont approve of the dance performances by females that have been going on recently even on ptv. what kinda culture r we promoting.

ye tha mera moaQaf :halo:

Bibi this festival is for masses, not just for mummy dady, burger families :smack:

I think you may not have heard about puppet festival bieng held in Lahore for last many years. The target audience were young school children and families. It got more poppular every year and became an important event in the calendar…

This is the same event, which has now grown into Mega festival of performing art. The tickets price was always nominal and schools were offered group packages.

Remember, RPTWs is no-profit, non-govenment organization. So they had to face serious problems of funds in early years. But with growing poppularity, now many multinational and national companies sponser the event.

Thanks to this event, and participation of foreign artists, Pakistan gets some positive recognition from international media. Otherwise its murders, bomb blast and honor killings the world sees in Pakistan, all year round.

oh acha :o

pehle baTana tha :hoonh: khamakha muj se itni lambi lambi posts likhVaaeen :snooty:

If you are in the city its a must see event...

here is the schedule

I will be posting pictures soon :)

Not only is this a waste of money and time it is a promotion of behayai (dance) and secularism.

:nook:

You said it well. The masses are the people left after the many elites whose social values and beliefs need to be destroyed.

and yes the upcoming basant, may Allah guide us all. Pakistan ka qaem rahnay ka maqsad hi khatam kar diya hai. It is so sad! Most of the people have become either silent or deaf dumb and blind at what is going on. If you do not forbid evil, you support evil!

Pakistan ka Allah Hafiz.
