How do i counteract the effects of eating spicy food? I understand that if it burns going in it obviously also burns on the way out but im also spending WAYY more time on the can than I’d like.
So apart from fully avioiding spicy food (which may be impractical if im visiting someone), what can I do?
If you’re going to recommend any medications, keep in mind that Im in pakistan.
The burn that comes from the spicy food is due to Capsaicin (Not to be mistaken with Capsicum) It comes from the chilli peppers. Its supposed to be natural and pretty much present in almost all spicy foods. Capsaicin binds to vanilloid receptors of sensory neurones triggering that feeling of pain so associated with nice spicy food, kinda ironic I know. Wont go into detail much but there's a high concentration of vanillod receptors (VR1) in your O-ring. And that's why it burns when you take a dump, no actual damage is occurring, just the sensation of burning.
You could try taking in Yoghurt (Preferrably Kachee lassi) Sugar cane juice (Ganaay ka russ) and Watermelons. These are proven to help normalize the burning sensation.
Aik goray nay khoob mazay lay lay ker khoob mirchon wali nihari khai.
Jub uss kay munh main mirchain lagain toh uskay dost nay kaha kay ab ice cream kha , toh us nay ice cream khai jiss say usko sukoon mila.
Suba jub bath room gia toh chilla-nay laga "ohhh , where is that ice cream now."

Edit: Dairy products FTW.
Thanks. Would this also lessen the frequency of me visiting bait-ul-khula after eating spicy food?

LOL. Nice.
It should. If you've had digestive complaints in the past then grab something that helps with that. Fibre helps digest and cures any problems with digestion. Skin vegetables are enriched with just that, raw vegetables have more Fibre than Juices though. Other than this, you could also consider Ispaghol or Hajmola to help digest. Cheers.
Hmmm... I've never had any trouble with spicy foods. I wonder if it varies from person to person or you just get used to it (coz my mum uses a lot of spices)
take 1 tab of **Losec**** [or**** Nexium**** or *Zantac] when needed for burns. you need prescription for those medications. they work wonders, believe me! :)*
