It's About Babies

Re: It's About Babies

Aisha, these days many people just have strange ideas. They like to do things that are "different" and unique. What your friend doesn't realize is that carrying a child for 9 months may be hard yeah, but it is a huge responsibility to raise a child afterwards. And to do that alone (especially by choice as in this case) would be even harder. Islamically, there's nothing brilliant about what she wants to do. Yeah she can find loopholes and justify it Islamically but why can't she just get married and have a child like a normal person?

And this isn't the first time I've heard this. I had a friend in univ. When I was studying and she wanted to do the same thing. We used to ask her why and she admitted that she wanted to be break the boring tradition of marriage>child and rather have a child yet not commit a gunnah. I don't know.

Yeah i remember when i was around 18 at uni .. yeah i said 18... and i was feeling broody seeing all my older friends having babies.... and i used to tell my family that i'm going to have a baby and i don't need a husband as they're just a a burden.... such naivety .... it doesn't matter how old or young your friend is, all women go through this phase of wanting children... she just needs to have some sabar and her time will come. There is nothing more special than a child being born with both a father and a mother.....:)
