My lil sister has had a baby girl this morning and she really wants to name her baby alyssia ( dont know if i spelt it right )

Can someone pls advise if this is a muslim/islamic name and what is the meaning

well it may not sound like a common Muslim name but I dont think there is a list of specific Muslim names only. It has to be of good meaning, is what a Muslim name should be.

well yes Alyssia is probably not a name in Islamic History.. if that's what you mean by Muslim name!

what are "Muslim" names?

Arabic names? Indian names? Pakistani names? If the person is Muslim wouldn't their name be a Muslim name. Or does some other Muslim have to have it so you can call it a "Muslim" name
