It'll be better when I'm thin

I found this article was pretty interesting and raised one good point—that while there are many reasons to be at a reasonable/healthy weight, wanting to be loved and cherished shouldn’t be one of them…however I’m not sure if I agree with the entirety of it.

Re: It'll be better when I'm thin

its true if your not obese or unhealthily overweight, or lack confidence. i think for a lot of people when they los weight they gain confidence, which is a good thing. anything that gives yuo confidence is a plus in my book. so i think being thin and life being better is all relative. for me personally, when i was size 16 i hated it, i didnt like me, i never bothered dressing nicely or looking good, cos i knoew i was size 16...and i felt ther wasnt much point. however now im a 10/12 i feell soooooo much better alhumdullilah and my confidence is soaringggggggggggggggggggggggggg, and this is thanks to my healthier lifestyle and inch loss....

If you watch different sporting events you will see that athletes come in all different sizes.
How ever they can't compromise on their athletic ability.
Working out do make you feel good about your self... There should not be predefined/over-emphasized standards for an attractive looks... Every one is attractive in their own way..

Re: It'll be better when I'm thin

Yes exactly. Losing weight requires alot of discipline and self control. For those who are lacking in all other areas of their lives, perhaps acquiring these two traits can make them mor confident in who they are and give htemselves a better quality o life

True for the most part.

**Inside feeling is independent of outside look.
**
1- However, when one sees oneself in mirror with the feeling the one will be acceptable by others it gives that person a self confidence.

2- When someone wears good clothes after a nice hot shower, wears perfume or cologn it does change the feeling of the person also.

3- Thin or thick does not matter. Its how that person reacts to other people’s feelings which matters. A thick person may be happier than a thin person.

4- Anorexia Nervosa and Bulemia are examples of thin, skinny women not happy with themselves and having distorted images of themselves.

5- Many men like thick women with big body and others like thin. Many women like heavy men (don’t care of Macchar-mosquito- looking men) and a lot of women like tall skinny men. Just a matter of taste.

Re: It'll be better when I'm thin

I have seen many women and men thinking that if the lose the weight that will automatically cure all their problems.

That doesn't happen.

Your relationships don't change. Neither do you problems or your day to day routine.

Everything remains the same excpet that you are a different number on the scale. You have to work through issues one by one and have to analyze what other changes you want in your life.

I have seen one thing however - it's mind over body which is that if you lose weight - you are more empowered to bring change in other aspects of your life.
