I live in Canada, are there places that sell flower jewellry or is that just something you have to make ?

^ Most major cities have a big enough desi population that you can find someone to do it for you. But really, it's not that hard to learn to do them yourself. I've learned to make them pretty well -- Carnations work best, accented with other flowers. I use regular thread and needle.

sahar i saw the picture you posted here of a garland you made.. it was really nice.. i'd love to learn how to make garland, bracelets etc..
how did you learn? practice or is there a website?

^ Practice. Ammi and I did them for many family occasions. Maybe I should make a Youtube instructional video!

Such a nice thread with great information...my sis's wedding is in New jersey, is there any place we can order the things needed for the mehndi....also is there a site for choices of songs to sing at mehndi...do people put on the music in the background now while they sing?

maybe a dholi if the gurl wants a grand enterance:)
and a bodygaurd to keep the kids AWAYYY from da mithai....
andd air freshner..coz somtimes it DOESS get stinky and hot..lol
and perfume :)
