This is a silly question but I must ask!..
I’ve noticed in many recent desi films (ex. Chameli, Plan) where a prostitute is referred to as “item.” It really cracks me up because of the way the word is said. Regardless, any ideas why it is termed such (“item”)? It’s like “I was with that item and this item blah blah blah…” It’s just too funny.
